I’m just curious. Do scenes like this:

And this:

And this:

Do these scenes not definitively prove just how impossible the odds Whitebeard was facing were? Whitebeard’s entire crew would’ve been casually rolled like a joint and smoked by the three Admirals alone, and he still had Sengoku, Garp, all of the Warlords, Pacifista, and 100K Marines to deal with. What chance did Whitebeard even have in hell against such odds?

Sure, Sengoku told his men not to assume victory. This is just good leadership as you never want your side to just assume they will win at any competition. This does not mean Whitebeard didn’t sail all 50K of his allies into certain doom.

What do you guys think? What is your opinion of recent events?

Hasn't changed, any reasonable person would understand that no single crew could ever hope to take on the combined forces of the faction thats been ruling the world for over 800 years.

Whitebeard had no chance.

I don't get why the marines were acting like adding another Yonko crew or Rayleigh to the other side was gonna be a disaster.

You always want to minimize losses, the marines always are spread pretty thin, especially with having to keep the admirals near mariejois. Even if you wont lose any admirals, you might lose some VAs, and you certainly will lose a lot of infantry if another yonko crew or someone like Rayleigh takes part

No lol. Cuz I always believed that the Navy would smoke them. I don't think it was ever questionable.

The plan was for the warlords to fight the WBP. The Warlords were located at the front ready to engage the WBP. They were going to be the force attacking them.

Doflamingo even hyped up the war as such.

Admirals were tasked with protecting the execution platform.

The plan was for the Admirals to guard the platform while the Warlords engage the WBP in battle. Of course that changed since the Warlords were dicking around.

Akainu even comments on it.

The Navy gathered all of them to ensure a clear victory with the fewest possible losses, and the least damage possible. They didn't need all of them, and we even saw that they were restricted due to home turf, and due to the warlords not caring about it. Later factors, such as the Impel Down prisoners joining, influenced it as well. All in all, the preparations from the Navy were excessive, as any organization on its home turf would do, to cut back on the losses and secure a victory.

The Admirals were restricted due to the battle taking place in MF, aka their home turf. Akainu was trying to preserve the island and the town.
He mentions it twice.

This is what happens when unrestricted Admirals can fight fully.

All the Admirals were fighting WB perfectly fine.
Akainu melted half of his face even though he was attacked from behind with a surprise attack.
And yet he could still continue, as evident here and explained

What's also interesting to note is that he first thing Akainu did was build a tunnel underground to avoid unnecessary battles, and went right back to chasing Luffy. Whitebeard was literally not even the second thing on Akainu's mind. He was an annoyance just like everyone else, keeping him from getting to Luffy. Wb himself and Akainu stated MF is WB's place of death. Akainu didn't have WB on his mind, he was busy trying to exterminate the two future threats, Luffy and Ace.

Akainu's sole focus was on getting rid of the threats of the future, WB was just an annoyance, like anyone else, in his way to Luffy and Ace.

Aokiji morphed around WB's attack, and was preparing an attack from close distance that had to be stopped by Jozu.

WB tried to prevent Kizaru from attacking Luffy, with Kizaru not even knowing WB was there, and yet WB did nothing to Kizaru. Kizaru then pinned his bisento down, using one leg, and shot a hole in WB.

None of them had a problem with WB in duels. The war when started was never debatable. The outcome of the war was never questionable.

Cause if admirals actually went out in marineford, they would destroy their own homeland.

Look at the punk hazard .

The warlords are literally useless helping the marines to fight Whitebeard.

Doflimingo is fooling around . Boa Hancock attack the Allies.
gecko moria exist for to get beaten by jinbe without trouble .

Two former warlord end up helping luffy and Whitebeard.

Mihawk claim to agree fight Whitebeard which in reality he spent more time chasing after luffy . Then clash vista guy. That it.

When you argue against the story itself.

Laramaki pissed his pants to Shanks’ haki. Hancock was negged by Neckbeard. Lol at hyping frozen injured Cracker.

Whitebeard neg diff’s every Warlord there but Mihawk. He 3 shots any Admiral, Kizaru just needs 1. Whitebeard’s whole character is that he is the world’s strongest and was the closest to the One Piece: PIRATE KING LEVEL

One who could have it all and that’s why he could steamroll through Marineford while off his meds and mortally wounded.

Keep coping admiraL fans

When your headcanon is so thoroughly debunked that you spam a bunch of incoherent bolded fanfictions that convince no one and just make you look like a butthurt fanboy, lol

They should have matched up differently. Marco isnt getting frozen by Aokiji, and diamond reflects light. Marco and Jozu dont beat admirals but they can stall in favorable matchups (Marco could either Kizaru or Aokiji). Having said that, if Luffy and crew dont show up, its game over for them either way. They actually freed Ace, its just his dumb ass turning around instead of escaping. Without Luffy and co., they needed a younger/healthier Whitebeard for a shot at victory (which is free Ace and run, not defeat the Marine HQ)

My take is, had the Admirals took that war seriously and need not have to protect Marineford, Whitebeard and his crew wouldn't have lasted a literal minute.

Yes
Chapter 1058 showed me that Mihawk alone is same level of threat as a Yonko and his entire crew

Meaning anytime Mihawk felt like it he could have ended the war himself.

He canonically failed to put Akainu down while receiving 2 holes in his chest and half of his face gone. Stop it.

Akainu is pushing Primebeard to at least high diff

Akainu was falling to his death from an already mortally wounded Whitebeard, Akainu has a cowards luck.

Prime Whitebeard kills three Akainus

WB has come to save Ace and retreat, not fight to win the marines.
If Ace does not lose his mind to Akainu's profane speech, The outcome of this battle is victory for the WB side.

I always had the opinion that this battle was unfair to Whitebeard. After the recent great portrayal of shichibukais and the shitty portrayal of yonko commanders, it now looks even more one-sided.

That said, Sengoku was basically scared of just one man because he had the power to destroy the world. Imagine if a healthy Whitebeard with AdCoC was allowed to fight the Marineford war.

WB Pirates won when Ace was freed, Marine HQ failed to prevent that

However it was Temporary Victory because of Ace turning around, triggering a chain of Actions that led to disastrous outcome for WBP

For me, I never ever considered Commanders to be on Shichibukai Level, let alone Admirals

People only think about Marco and Jozu and completely ignore the Fact that Oda gave WB 16 Commanders, not just Two or Three, it was only way to make WB Side look threatening enough

They never stood a chance to begin with, I think the marines can take on 2 yonko alliances and still win (if mihawk is allowed to get serious that is). 3 yonko fleets would win against marineford
