He says 'I need to release a bit more of it, Enma'

He's verbally talking to Enma about it. If he had full mastery that's not the sort of thing you need to communicate about.

Enma uses Zoro's own haki not it's own power.
Wait til Official Translation comes out and see what verbiage is used.

But everyone has a different thought process on how it is perceived hence the question. There isnt a right or wrong answer for the time being

It is completely mastered since the sword is literally pulling 0 of the haki unless Zoro allows it.
That's what I mean, aside from how you interpret his line here it seems as though he has it down. Could very well be he expected to cut a guy who's way harder to cut than he could have guessed, and having control in general means that he doesn't cut deeper than he intends.

He got a sword that, despite making him stronger, as he claims, doesnt allow him to fight properly.
Battle against a yonko, and he is figuring out how to fight with enma still?
Unless its a gag fight like nami vs miss doublefinger, he is, as the chapter have shown, weaker.
From "dont let your guard down" and "i have no times for game. I've come to cut Kaido", to "nope. 10% of power is not enough. Gotta use more."

Apparently he didn't master it.

This was allegedly the reason why he said he needs more of Enma's power.

It is very counterintuitive to believe that Enma is stronger than the other o wazamono in my opinion.

I think yes...Just because he was holding back in that single atack dosent mean that he cant control it, if anything, limiting Enma's power shows that he can controll the ammount of Haki that sword is draining from him.

he says it himself too, he has to use more power meaning he CAN use more Haki with that sword if he wants to....I think he was just underestimating kaido's skin by holding back the power of the sword.

But with all that said, its pretty clear that letting enma draw too much haki is not very beneficial for his stamina, even if you are controlling the ammount you let it suck out of ya, you could still be drained by using too much out of your own volition.

Yo who was the Zoro fanboy that kept arguing with me that Zoro fully mastered Enma the moment he pulled his Haki back from the blade, and he did not get any stronger because of that while training with it :milaugh:

Step up :beckmoji:
I think I might have been. Guess I was wrong.
Didn't think Oda would send Zoro out to battle without Enma Mastery, since Luffy has G4/Ryuo Mastery

Just adding info shared by sandman (who's japanese), he says the safest translation is "I have to release more (Haki/power) from Enma."

It's ambiguous whether Zoro's talking directly to Enma or not due to a missing comma.

He will only be stronger once he masters it.
