Has Zoro surpassed, or at least caught up to Sword God WSS Dracule MIhawk?

If not, how close is he (as of 1056)?

Does he still need black blades, or did Oda honestly just forget they existed.

I dont think Oda forgot about the black blades and when the time comes it will pay off to something like that black blades its something really extraordinary and the only 2 people that made them was Mihawk/Ryuma (and next one Zoro) or even there is another level stronger than black blades. As of now i think he is around 60-70% probably. No way he defeats him but it would be a decent match if lets say fight at chapter 1057.

I also find it weird that not even Roger couldnt make his sword a black blade and i believe that maybe he and mihawk had fought in the past given Mihawk's presence in his execution. All the other characters shown are pretty much pirates & dragon but Mihawk who didnt even have a crew and he's more like a "hunter" rather pirate, its a bit confusing as to why he was so interested to see the execution

Zoro is far from Mihawk, hasn't even defeated an admiral yet and will only be ready to fight MIhawk after overcoming Shanks, who mocks admirals.

I think he has surpassed Mihawk but he hasnt surpassed Yoru without a Kokuto of his own.
And since the story has defined Yoru as the target, he isnt ready yet to do it.
Thus he is a Kokuto away from "surpassing Yoru, surpassing Mihawk".
If he can handle Kaido, he can handle Mihawk too.

I believe he is around 40% to 50% of Mihawk's true power.
"Surpass this sword"..... not yet.
"Surpass me"...... also not yet.
Mihawk has turned the world strongest blade into a black blade and zoro hasn't even turn 1 of the three.
Mihawk is a top dog, our boy has some road to cross before he challenge that dude.
