I agree completely but contrary to an ice arm or a pure metal one Kid arm is different.
Kid arm is cyborg like, it has gears and engine etc. It can likely create force in itself, with tubes etc etc.
It’s not just metal it’s better than that.

But if you think about it, Kidd had already lost his real arm when he appeared defeated by Kaidou, and he already had a mechanical arm attached to his body in that scene.
And yet, when he appeared again as a prisoner in Udon, when he had kairouseki on his body to restrain his devil fruit power, he appeared without his mechanical arm. So there are three different conclusions that can be drawn from it:
1)He could not maintain the mechanical arm attached to his body without making use of his devil fruit power.
2)He could still maintain the mechanical arm attached to his body even without making use of his devil fruit power, but he couldn't move it properly, so as he thought that the mechanical arm would just be a burden for him while he was working in prison, he removed the mechanical arm himself.
3)He could still keep it attached and move it, but Queen or someone else in Kaidou's crew detached Kidd's mechanical arm from his body so as to nerf him.
Supposing that option number 3 corresponds to what happened, then Kidd's fake arm really isn't comparable to Perospero's or Aokiji's fake leg, but supposing that it's option 1 or 2, then they are somehow comparable.
It's also relevant to keep in mind that the first thing Kidd did after escaping prison was to produce a new mechanical arm, and he did it in a matter of seconds.
It's not like Kidd went to a laboratory to produce a mechanical arm; He produced it just like he produced the gun he used in his fight with Big Mom.
And for that reason I find Kidd's fake arm more similar to Perospero's than to Franky's cyborg arms, because Kidd's fake arm was directly (except for the material used) produced with his devil fruit power, just like it happened in Perospero's case.
What you said about it being better than just metal is true, but the same can be said about Perospero; Perospero's fake arm is not just hardened green syrup candy; It's hardened green syrup candy whose form can respond to his mind's commands about how the hand and fingers shall move.
Perospero can move his candy arm just like Kidd can move his metal arm. The only difference is that Kidd's metal arm is more realistic (it's easier to imagine how it can work because of the gears and tubes, etc.), while Perospero's candy arm is more fantastical, so it's harder to comprehend how it can possibly work. But in One Piece's universe their function is basically equal.
So in the end it all comes down to power levels; If Perospero is more powerful than Kidd, then Perospero is capable of creating a more powerful candy arm than Kidd's metal arm. And, likewise, if Kidd is more powerful than Perospero, then Kidd is capable of creating a more powerful metal arm than Perospero's candy arm, being able to move faster, be more durable, and hit harder.
And they are also similar in that they have only one arm to act as a the part of their body that they use to focus their power;
Perospero's candy arm is very versatile to do most things that one normally does with his hands, but it's not part of his body, so he can't use it as a source of power to use his devil fruit ability like he can do with his real hand. And with Kidd it's the same thing.
So both of them have been basically equally nerfed, maybe except for the fact that Perospero lost his right arm, while Kidd lost only his left one.

the only moment where kid uses his own arms to fight is when assigning magnetic power to a target and there was no moment when he tried to do that that the lack of an arm had significance. not having an arm has zero impact on his strength because he does not fight using his body
It's not like characters just will things with their minds and the magical things just suddenly happen; They have to use their real limbs to focus their power so that they can display their abilities.
So it doesn't really matter whether or not a character fights having direct contact with his enemies; If a character lost part of his body then he was weakened, because he lost part of where his devil fruit power can come from.
It's just like how Crocodile needs to touch people with his real hand in order to dry them. Just using the sand he creates won't do the job, because it's the real body that is the source of power.
If Kidd had both arms, then he would have potential to use both arms to focus a lot more power and create even more powerful things than that bull or that gun he used to attack Big Mom, or perhaps he would do the same thing but faster, with less intervals between his moves.

Doesnt oda said in one piece people dont get weak by losing part of body? I mean look at shanks and zoro and fujitora etc.
Even neko and inu.
Even neko and inu.
So it also means that they have to suffer and make a lot more effort.
In real life people can also somehow make up for their disabilities by focusing more on improving the abilities that they still have.
If you're blind, for example, then chances are high that you will develop better hearing and feeling skills.
So, considering how much Kidd has already gone through since losing his arm, it may be argued that his right arm wouldn't have become as powerful as it is now if he still had two arms.
In Udon prison, for example, he had to work with only one arm while being weakened by kairouseki, so all his remaining limbs went through a much tougher training than they would if he had been able to do the work with both hands.
But this doesn't change the fact that he lost part of his potential by losing one of his arms;
If Kidd now were to magically regain his lost arm all of a sudden, he would certainly become stronger than he is now, because then he would have two arms with which he would be able to use his devil fruit ability, rather than just one.
The same goes for Zoro; It may be said that he went through so much training that he was able to make up for his loss of part of his sight, but if right now he were to regain his full sight all of a sudden by a miracle he would obviously have a better sight than he has now, which would therefore increase his ability as a fighter.
What people fail to comprehend is that Shanks being able to become a Yonkou is not a sign that losing the arm was irrelevant, but rather a sign that Shanks was badass enough to become a Yonkou despite having only one arm.
It's obvious that Shanks had to suffer more and make a lot more effort to become strong enough to be a Yonkou than he would have had if he had two arms.
Disability/Less limbs than normal = Less potential than normal = More effort necessary to become stronger =/= Less growth of power in the long run
And the reason for it is that there's the possibility that the disability may actually work as an incentive for people to work harder than they would if they had all limbs in perfect condition.

No. We’ve seen nothing from the way Kid fights that makes his lost arm especially necessary. Pre-skip when he had an arm he still fought the same away- make a big fucking metal one.
Kid’s only nerfed if he has no metal around him.

We haven't seen what Kidd was capable of doing when going all out after the time-skip but before losing his arm to Shanks.
Maybe Kidd would be able to create not just one giant metal arm, but two at the same time, and then use a "Gatling gun" type of move throwing punches with his giant metal arms repeatedly instead of making just one single movement with the giant metal arm.
