I don't Hidan is good enough to land a blow on Kisame, who is arguably the most skilled swordsman in the series (if not necessarily the strongest).

Sasuke is top sword user in series, Orochimaru is probably second.

You really think Orochimaru is better than Bee, Mifune, Mangetsu, Kisame & Zabuza in Kenjutsu?

Time to get in my Naruto bag, Hmmm let’s see Hidan was supposedly immortal from what I remember shikamaru essentially dismembered him and buried him. Kisame with his water abilities could probably do the same thing. His close combat ability is skilled enough to where he won’t get touched by Hidan.
