Now that the one shot has been translated, it turns out all the Minato wank was largely just taken out of context
- Matching Kurama's Bijudama happened in the metal plane thing that Naruto was in when he gained control over Kurama, it doesn't mean anything
- Kurama never says Minato's power or whatever is comparable to Hashirama, he's referring to Minato's skill with jutsu and natural talent

In five panels, I can prove that Living EMS Madara without the Kyuubi can possibly lose to Hoshigaki Kisame.
^^^ This is IC Madara to Oonoki & Muu, he held back and treated them like children.
^^^ This is Kisame to learning he's talking to "the" Uchiha Madara. Instant "oh fuck" moment.
In-character, Madara will play with his food. Kisame is going to aim for the kill right away.

Here's what we know about Bijuu without Jinchuuriki...
^^^ They are lesser than when a Jinchuuriki is present. This is proven with Juubito (even mindless) versus the Juubi.
So in short—Madara will toy and play with Kisame and will never revert to his Perfect Susano'o, since he didn't for Muu and Oonoki in canon. Not until he's sufficiently impressed with Kisame. Whereas, upon hearing the rumor of Madara's name in front of him, not even confirmed, Kisame's butthole clenches and he's more intense than we've ever seen him.
In a battle between the two, Kisame's ability to fuse with Samehada and fight without eyesight—rendering genjutsu impossible—allows him to hammer at Madara's core abilities. He's a Susano'o spammer and a fused Kisame is eating that, with his body or Daikodan. Madara's best bet is Perfect Susano'o but realistically, if Kisamehada is on him or Daikodan is devouring his susano'o, it's already over. Using more chakra in that moment won't change anything, he's too close to a chakra sucking monster.
And remember... Samehada can eat 6~ tails of Bijuu chakra in one go. Madara does not have that much chakra, and even if he did, he's not putting out that high of a concentration. Meaning Samehada/Kisame can continue to chew on Madara's chakra (and chakra constructs) piece meal.
That's how Kisame can hypothetically beat a living, EMS Madara without the kyuubi, in character. In five panels.
