General & Others How can anyone stan Saint Shanks?

Like literally, this character reeks self-insert presence all over him
Every big bad writing since Yonko Saga started occurred with Saint Shanks being involved :
  • Red promotion --> ruining an admiral hype just for the sake of a movie about Saint Shanks
  • Kidd oneshotted easily without any fight --> every built-up hype and development about Kidd and new gen ruined just for the sake of Saint Shanks cause "he's the perfect leader" despite being old gen and also he was randomly at elbaf
Other than Nika G5 and fake tensions,
There hasn't been any other bad writing worse than these 2 in the world manga !

All so that Saint Shanks fanboys could go "he's too strong" and buy more manga copies
What did Saint Shanks beating Kidd accomplish? Nothing positive !
Knowing that he's gonna lose to Teach anyway.

There exist characters that you can't be a fan of, and Saint Shanks is part of those characters

He was a compelling, profound character pre ts but a lot of stuff post TS has ruined that amazingly beautiful beginning to the series and thus his character, Luffys and their bond and history too.

Now he's shamelessly being used to breadcrumb hype and make others his hype tools and excuses to be hypocritically sanctimonious too.

With good design and moments

Saint Shanks is a good example of a Marty Sue unlike Oden who was a retarded trash that the story and characters in it keep ignoring

Not really .

Saint Shanks lost arm to a sea king beast while for comparison Rayleigh was shown killing much more powerful neptunians.

Saint Shanks one shotting Kid just proves that likes of Big Mom and Kaido are actual frauds and entry level to yonko title ; Saint Shanks , Blackbeard , Luffy all will be above them at some point .

And Oda was pretty clear Mihawk is world strongest swordsman not Saint Shanks and Zoro ultimate goal. So Saint Shanks was never the top dog its just your unwillingness to accept Mihawk and its power that causes all those issues you have with him.

It’s a battle Shonen.
People can like strong and cool generic characters.

I’m not a fan of Saint Shanks personally because I just don’t find him engaging but not as everyone needs that. They can just enjoy a dude who shows up looks cool then leaves.

Hell that was 90% of Gojos character in JJK and he’s one of the most popular characters in that fandom

Don't bring my goat Superman into this, if you want to compare the Saint Rat to someone there's tons of characters to do that with but not Superman
