Strongest One Pieces characters fight super fast but their battle last hours or days : I will convert in more suiting length.

Luffy - Cracker : 11 hours -> 1 hour 30 minutes
Luffy - Katakuri : 11 hours -> 1 hour
Aokiji - Akainu : 11 Days ? -> 30 minutes
Roger crew - Whitebeard crew : 3 days -> 2 hours 30 minutes
Jack - Minks : 1 Week -> 4 hours

They ain't like us, and even peak humans can train to endure starvation and fatigue to absurb level till they can last a day or two without any water supplies or sleep.

Going to be interesting to see how Kaido is taken down. A big thing in expecting is Luffy and others to fight him early, but for the fight to last literally all night into the morning. If there is one thing the last 2 YC battles taught me, its that this is virtually how the rest are probably going to go in some fashion. (Vs Kaido, Akainu, Blackbeard, Im, Shanks etc)

Oda hyped up their durability and i doubt we will have 2-3 days fight in Onigashima right now.

It's because of Haki, which makes durability really high, and if characters are on the same level, among other things. Also DFs are pretty spammable, especially if you're awakened . some have said to be able to be infinite so depending on the user's stamina in fight and endurance they can spam it for a long time. But fights between two Haki users can also end quick because whoever with the strongest Haki simply overpowers the other and one shots.

It's a way for Oda to hype fights that he off panels. At best the 1v1 fights on panel will last hours not days. And it will still be extreme diff.
Akainu that fought Aokiji for 10 days will be koed by Luffy after a few hours.
Same for Kaido who is supposed to be the most durable character of One Piece.

Look at Ace vs Jimbei and then compare it to Ace vs Blackbeard.

Oda is making up for the off paneling by exaggerating the duration of a fight. Which imo is not a good idea because then people have too much expectations about some characters.
