How come zoro beat king in half an hour but a stronger zoro didn’t beat s-hawk with help in 12?

Plot didn't allow Zoro or Luffy or Sanji to beat their Seraphims right then and there

King lowered his fire and by default his defensive capability for the final attack.. Plot hole..
Just like how Queen offered his neck on a platter to Sanji by going after the Some girl..

On the panel, he was flame on. But Zoro especifically mentions twice (once in that fight and once in Egghead) that he, or anyone, have no means of damaging a lunarian flame-on. The plotline suggests Oda messed up that panel.

We also got no clear indication of why exactly would King turn his flames off and why these Seraphims aren't.

They are all defeated. They are trapped in a bubble and can't get out That means they're defeated. It's no different than GB restraining King.

The question that should be asked is why didn't Oda allow Luffy and Zoro to use ACoC.
