Okay, I haven't seen this posted or discussed anywhere else, but Killer seems to be cured of his Smile Fruit hysterical laughing effects.

So how did that happen?

He’s not cured, it’s just that Smile don’t make people laugh all the time. The main side effect being they smile all the time and can’t express negative emotions like anger and sadness. They hysterically laugh mostly when under great stress.

I remember him laughing before they arrived to onigashima
and didn't he laugh when Kid was picking up all the trash in onigashima and called kaido strongest pirate?

he hasn't, but he has his mask on so we cannot see the smile. From what I've understood if he doesn't talk he doesn't laugh but just has the grin on.

It's definitely a mistake the way I see it.

He should have been cured in order to take part to the final fight on his best mental potential other than physical but no panel shows him to have been cured. So was it offpaneled I wonder.

he wasn't. It's just bad writing. Just like how niji was concerned about reiju even though the vinsmoke siblings were supposed to not have emotion

He‘s been giggling throughout Onigashima. We just can’t see him smiling with the mask

Yeah, I've been noticing that, and I'm like WTF, why is there no laugh LOL

Maybe my theory would come true though.... MAYBE somehow, his smile DF which was FAILED, awakaned and now he is a TRUE smile user... and we all notice that successful smile users do not have the after effect of laughing...

So maybe that was Oda's way to give Killer his power up for this arc... also do not underestimate smile DFs... Oda could legit give him a sick as design for a nice animal, and it just gets deadly

Like for example, he might legit get an animal in one of his arm that is deadly and poisonous at same time... which would amplify his sword cuts and makes him more dangerous

Yasue wasn't laughing all the time, he just couldn't express other emotions and had virtually the same face all the time. Same with Killer.

he didn't become emotional so he didn't laughing to much like in udon
also he covered his face so we can't see his smile
