Would you be disappointed?

It's frankly more disappointing that the weaker Strawhats get written off as if they are minor characters when they are every bit as important as the stronger ones. What they lack in raw strength they make up in their utility and out of the box thinking.

Simply throwing them off to characterless headliners because they are "too weak for anything else" is so narrow-minded. Those weaker Strawhats held off an Emperor. They were in the most perilous of situations yet still held their own because of their ingenuity, grit, and resolve.

During Dressrosa, Usopp basically rescued everyone by not only knocking out Sugar, but saving Luffy. If it weren't for Luffy, the Strawhats would have no captain, they would have no one to help get Sanji back from WCI, no one to help rally the Samurai in Udon, and no one to help form the Ninja-Pirate-Minks-Samurai Alliance.

If all they get after all this are fights with not just fodder, but unimportant, disposable ones, it would be an insult to their contribution for this series.

I'd be very disappointed. At this point, I care more for those characters than I do over-hyped Zoro. We all know he'll slash his way through whoever is his match up. The weaker Strawhats makes for more interesting fight because they have to think, grow up on the spot in more interesting way (Fata Morgana in EL for Nami, Monster Point for Chopper, etc.).

And they've been so neglected since the TS that peoples are writting them off. Seriously, do you really want the Weak-trio to deal at best with Headliners ? They are all trash save Hawckins who is WG...

This is a masive war so i don't all of them to fight only top tire let's not forget that kaido's forces are why more numerous than that of the aliance + there is Bm you cannot expect to see that many one on one it will most probably a joing of forces against songer enemies and one vs multiple weaker foes

Yes because we have enough enemies that can be possible opponents for them like.
  • half of flying six (black Maria, ulti, sasaki)
  • Numbers
  • Some of big mom kids (daifuku, montdur, perospero)
About them having power ups/being strong enough
  • Franky said his making new weapons so no problem.
  • Robin can create a giant clone or awakening if there anyone can see awaken their DF is robin
  • Brook new DF technique.
  • Nami has Zeus and may show something new with weather powers.
  • Ussop is allways good with bringing in new in to a battle.
  • Chopper pushing his DF to the next level maybe awakening.
Every thing here is a i think possible power up that makes sense for them to be real match for yonko underlings.

so people stop saying they are not strong enough just up shut up you dont know whats goner happen you just putting yourself in a headspace that doesn't matter what happen even if it makes sense you say its bullshit.

Considering the story is not driven for the strawhats to fight almost nameless, pointless or quite literally random henchmen, yea it would be disappointing.

That not even major dissapoinment. Imagine their fight would be 75% offpaneled:choppawhat:

I don't think we have to worry about that, but expect the setups to these battles to be long, and the battles themselves to be mixed around in the chaos, then for Oda to spend a chapter or two max on each fight. This is exactly what happened with Franky/Zoro, the only 2 other strawhats that received proper fights in DR. Its easier to believe that

- He'll spend the next 20-30 chapters establishing the villains (Kaido's past, Rocks, Onigashima, Numbers, his Son, Big Mom's children etc)
- Then spend the next 20-30 chapters after doing skirmishes and putting everyone in their proper places for the battles. Then having everyone actually fight but bounce around between focal points.
- Then spend another 20-30 chapters actually ending each villain, and theres a fuck ton. Almost 30 actually powerful ones.

Robin not getting a fight in DR and every SH but Luffy not getting fights in WCI was a big mistake.
This right here irked me about Dressrosa. Just when I thought Robin was about to show her skills against Diamante, Oda pulls the rug from under me and Sanji not having a 1v1 fight in WCI arc was blasphemous. I need this arc to deliver me Enies Lobby and MarineFord arc feels.
