In that case, hit that beat stamina restart doesnt even exist. It was just situational.

It hasn't been retconned, we'll definitely see Luffy use G5 multiple times back to back in the future, as I said in the previous thread, it's just being ignored for the sake of plot right now.

He's made Luffy to strong so he has to have this PIS stamina drawback which he can use to then take Luffy out of the story for however long he wants. I still remember the whole '10 minute drama' in Dressrosa with Gear 4.

Logically we know Luffy can put down Admirals and go toe to toe with Yonkos so Oda has to make Luffy do stuff like fool around randomly go interrupting people's fights just so his opponents don't get stomped low diff. Take Lucci for example Luffy went full throttle and absolutely negged him.

Luffy when he finally went serious against Kizaru hit him and knocked him down we all know this was Oda's way of taking both Luffy and Kizaru out of the story just so we can start the flashback.

Honestly the whole stamina draw back is honestly the worst writing I've seen of Oda as he's trying to force tension and uses it inconsistently which is infuriating. He honestly should have just made Gear 5 have limits with the powers not stamina.

Because he needed both Luffy and Kizaru down them two would be destroying everything around each other.

Oda needed the fake tension of Bonney stabbing Saturn then Kuma arriving etc. It's clear Oda can't write Luffy in the story while also trying to make the crew look like under dogs.
