Powers & Abilities How every Devil Fruit works

#1
My belief is the Devil Fruits generally operate on the rules Doflamingo described. This means that when a Devil Fruit ability awakens, it begins to affect things other than the user's own body.

Fujitora's ability normally allows him to produce gravity from his body. His sword becomes an extension of his body, and that's how he manipulates gravity using his sword.

When his Devil Fruit ability awakens, he should be able to affect surroundings to create gravity wells. The crazy part is he might be able create multiple of them and pick directions for their gravity.

1) Kidd's Devil Fruit originally only affected his own body causing it to produce electromagnetism. He mainly used this to create weaponized body parts and to repel metal objects.
- When Kidd awakened his ability, he was able to use the ability to affect things other than his own body by assigning polarities to them (North and South).

2) Law's Devil Fruit originally only affected his own body allowing him to produce an operating "room". In combination with his sword, he could perform surgical techniques, and maintained control of objects within the space.
- When Law awakened his ability, he was able to use the ability on his sword and the operating "room" became remote. The new applications of the ability were labelled "Re-room" and "K-room" (Remote room and Knife room).

Note: I made this post because I noticed some people seemed to not understand how their awakened abilities affect surroundings.

Bege's Castle Fruit allows him to turn his own body into a castle. This is an internalized ability, so it's likely awakened application would just be an externalized version of it. He would be able to turn things other than his own body into castles.

The tricky part with his fruit involves the spatial dimension inside of his body once he begins creating other castles. For example, if he touched a tree, would that tree function the same way his own body does, and, if so, is it possible the spatial dimension inside his body is connected to it? That would mean someone could enter his body and then walk out of the tree.

Buggy's Fruit allows him to split his body into parts. He has used this for a variety of techniques including turning his body into a vehicle. It doesn't seem challenging to understand what his awakening would be like, he would cause things other than his body to split, and he would be able to control them with his will.

Note: The idea that his awakening would let him split atoms is nuts.

This rule does not apply to basic Zoan Fruits.

It's simple. The Logia class and Paramecia class already encompass every environment and form of physics taking place in them. Zoans, by default, have no authority over them. However, the Mythic class does. Therefore, if the question is "Can Zoans affect the environment or physics in them?" the answer is YES because the Mythic type can.

Note: All of the fruits are also subject to metaphysics, but they'll usually appear as a Paramecia type. For example, Big Mom touching souls, and Perona's Negative fruit using ghosts.

Ancient Zoans are limited to using very specific advantages and disadvantages.

1) They cannot manipulate the environment or physics in them because that's what Logia and Paramecia types do.

2) They operate within a historical blindspot. Since nobody knows exactly how things like dinosaurs worked, you get crap like Sasaki spinning his neck to fly.

Trying to powerscale these guys means you actually have to come up with bizarre abilities they can use based on their crazy bodies.

1) Logia work based on using elements of nature that encompass specific environments.

2) Paramecia work based on using the physical laws within them.

3) Zoans work based on using wills of beings that exist in specific environments with physical laws.

4) All of the above are subject to metaphysical laws being imposed on them.

I can answer any question about any fruit including about what I believe their awakenings are. However, what must be understood with this framework is that Zoans by default do not interact with elements of nature or the physics of an environment. It's only Mythic Zoans who blur that line.

You will never get a better explanation for this.

Urouge's Fruit normally allows him to convert damage into physical strength and fortitude.

The awakened ability would allow him to use that same principle on things other than himself. For example, if he touched a building, that building would resist damage and become more durable.

If you absolutely have to picture how it would work, picture being inside a Nen-Space in a building. You can't break the walls because the walls themselves resist damage and become stronger.

Daifuku's Fruit normally allows him to rub his belt and summon a Jinn (Genie or Demon).

His awakened ability would allow him to rub something other than his body and summon a Jinn. In other words, it's the same damn thing, he just gets more of them. The reason for this is he's essentially creating more lamps. His body was the original one, but when he applies it to other things, they also become lamps

Oda will likely never show an awakened version of this ability because... It's nuts. That is a crazy bonus to get. The counter to it would be just to destroy the lamps to get rid of the Jinns, but that could be hard if he uses like 50 things to make 50 Jinns and carries them in his pocket or something.

Oh, you came to the dead theories section to discuss why the theory graveyard has too many tombstones, huh?
I didn't go anywhere. I just refresh the "What's new" section to see the same Impact thread with only a couple of sentences being changed in the middle. Even for your standard, that's pretty lazy. But then again, it does give credit to your wanting "more views" to have a thousand copy-pasted nothingburgers going around at once.

I believe you lack social etiquette and self awareness.

Good luck with your anger problems.
