Character Discussion How female characters such as Nami, Robin, Tashigi, Boa Hancock, Big Mom, Smoothie and others have been handled ?

How do you think that female characters in One Piece such as the female Straw Hats, Tashigi after Logue Town and/or Alabasta, Big Mom and her daughters such as Smoothie and Compote and Brûlée, Boa Hancock and the Kuja Pirates, Rebecca and Viola, and other princesses female characters should have been handled and portrayed at least after the timeskip ?

How would you have handled them ? What portrayal and abilites and powers and skills would you have given to female characters that desperately need some good portrayal and were denied it by Oda, chief amongst them Big Mom, Smoothie, Rebecca, Tashigi, and even the Straw Hats and Hancock ? How would you have written their character arcs and development ?

Smoothie by far is the worst handled female character

No good fights
No good developments
No good moments

There could of been so many good character moments and developments oda could of done with her

Maybe Sanji Is forced to set aside his pride and honor and kick her in order to save Nami or Reiju during whole cake

She could of came onto wano with big mom and Perospero, could of been Yamato's opponent or 2 v 1 Robin and Nami

She's supposedly a yonko commander but all she's good for is being tall and kinds thick

I think for the most part the important female characters are written with depth, it's in the combat area where they are very lackluster. Oda unironically leans into sexist tropes to their detriment.

compare OP female leads to Dandadan fermale leads where the female characters are both written with depth and competent fighters.

Make BM much more competent and stronger. Don't make her lose in wano or give her awakening + constant adv coc usage. Take all the gag moments like franky's bike one away.

Smoothie could have fought Jimbei or be relevant in terms of combat. If oda wrote BM going against Kaido then smoothei vs yamato would be fine.

Tashigi make her close to zoro level and be more relevant in zoro's story.

I love Yamato, she was abused and beaten and starved by her dad, who was a dictator, she had hope and faith, she befriended Ace, she got really strong, she refused to be a dictator under her dad's rule, and she is defending Wano and probably training Momo and others

Tashigi wouldn't have the dumbest dream in the story, both combat wise and lore wise, that doesn't make any since now cause Kuinas grandpa told Zoro swords choose their evil owners. The fact that Tashigi can't use flying slashes at this point is sad.

Smoothie was doomed from the start. The female allies were too weak in WCI and Wano to beat her and Yamato was too strong and had run around with Momo.

Yamato was ruined by that fucking Oden shit.

Rebecca needed to stop being a useless crybaby goon bait. She should have at least 2v1 Diamante with her dad instead of getting saved and not pulling her weight.

Viola was ok and actually useful in DR. Shouldn't have been banging Doffy though regardless how hot she thought he was with those strings.

The kujas are way too weak to know how to use ryou. Same with Hancocks sisters. Ironically enough Hancock being a hot woman saved her from not getting clowned by fanbase for the choke no diff. Any other warlord would have slandered till the cows come home.

If Hancock and the Kujas do go to the new world their just going to join the grand fleet and do nothing untill the war. Maybe the Boas might get some character closure by destroying their former owners unless they're the Figarlands. If they were the Figarlands 99% they lose and get saved by fucking Nika.

Robin needs both hakis. Nami at least needs CoO. Nami and Usopp should have at least beaten Page One and Ulti with seastone instead of fucking Big Mom coming in clutch.

Big Mom was treated so badly Oda should have made Big Daddy instead 😭

For Tashigi I would have made her far stronger, with her fighting style being developped and showcased more with her sword style being more based on speed and agility and technique compared to Zoro, as well as her being able of producing flying slash with a flower or bird style and using Geppo and Kami to enhance her speed and agility.

She would also use Kami to make her body flexible, in order for example to release herself of chains, handcuffs and of Robin's techniques, having learned from her encounter with Robin in Alabasta.

She and Zoro would also have talked more, perhaps even in Wano, with Zoro telling her about Kuina and his own story, as well as encouraging her to become even stronger and go after her dream, while she would come to accept that Zoro isn't evil and that he deserved his blades, while also having more and deeper interactions with Nami and other Straw Hats and a more developped friendship with Koby and Helmepp as well as Gion and Tsuru.

She would have come to Wano eventually, and on Punk Hazard I would have made her fare better against Law, to be beaten but not that easily, and to defeat Monet on her own.

Also Smoothie should have been a big deal in WCI or Wano, with her being shown to be a good strategist and a terrifying force in battle both with her swordsmanship and devil fruit, but also showing some terrific haki combined with longleg martial arts.

I would have made her able of taking down any member of the Alliance at the Tea Party, and beat Reiju or Jinbei at the same time Katakuri beat Ichiji and Big Mom beat Luffy or the rest of the Vinsmokes.

I would have made her the perfect counter to Jinbei's water abilities, as well as able of absorbing not only water but also other liquids such as poison, oil or lava in her sword and body and to use her in battle.

Brûlée and the other Charlotte girls such as Amande and her quadruplets or Cracker's triplets would also have been portrayed as true badasses, and without Brûlée being a living tool for the Straw Hats.

Smoothie, I loved her fruit, she could be a Robin fight potentially, I would’ve loved that, just how she fought with her devil fruit and all that would’ve been so cool, she would’ve overshadowed kat honestly though. Well, all the charlotte girls were handled awfully, especially that one girl with the extremely long sword, SHE SEEMED SO COOL THEN, ESPECIALLY HER CUTTING THE TREE SLOWLY LIKE SHE COUDLVE FOUGHT A VINSMOKE LIKE REIJU OR JUDGE! Handled awfully

Tashigi is just so stupid she was probably just forgotten like smoker, tashigi wasn’t good, punk hazard was literally just a cameo arc for them. Her dream is not happening, she couldve been so good like her style could’ve been with smoker flying up, covering the battlefield in a thick smoke while she dashes and cuts quickly and silently, like a ninja. Handled awfully

Hancock was good, hope for her to be stronger, even though her obsession with Luffy is eh, she could’ve fought someone like doll or had a 1v1 with that one ugly girl in the Blackbeard pirates. Her obsession with Luffy is awful to, looking for a strong man wjo won’t simp for her, lets see, croc, Doffy, king, kaido, zoro, Luffy, Koby, Marco, rayleigh… Handled mehly-awfully.

Nami was handled awfully, she was originally introduced as a cat burglar navigator girl, now she’s just a lying manipulative ”bad woman” who steals things. She could’ve been so cool, use her weather powers to create a weather sword and cover the battlefield in rain, fire, lighting, then explode, her climatact could’ve been a knife, instead of a pole, or maybe a spear would’ve been cool. Handled awfully

Saved Robin for last. Well, she is my favorite character. But she has no fights! She’s had 1! 1! O need more, and learn how to punch girl and learn haki and use your fish man karate like come on! Handled good but fights is awful

Or at the very least she could have been the one to subdue either the Vinsmokes or Sun Pirates in WCI, to have a confrontation alongside her crewmates and siblings against CP0 and the marines coming to Wano before reuniting and leaving with their mother. Overall I think that Big Mom and her crew shouldn't have been present in Wano with them returning to Totto Land upon hearing about Blackbeard Pirates' incursion and kidnapping of Pudding.

Her sisters Compote, Amande, Brûlée, Galette, also could have been used and treated far better as well.

It could have been good for Brûlée if she wasn't such a tool for the Straw Hats with her getting constantly easily kidnapped and used by the Straw Hats to go to or outside of the Mirror World with her being unable of doing anything to escape or stop it.
