Last month, Demon Slayer was the best selling manga and keep in mind, the series ended five years ago. If the author hadn’t rushed the ending (I’m not sure why she chose to wrap it up so quickly) and had instead extended the story, Demon Slayer could’ve easily reached 700 million copies by now

JJK isn't even doing this and the manga ended last year

movies usually boost manga sales a lot

And op did not release a new volume last month or the month before iirc. So this is normal.

op volumes sell 1mill+ regularly. you are a retard for tryna slander op for sales numbers when you don't even understand manga sales stuff at all.

Not to mention there are plenty of other reasons to slander op you could have used.

Best selling manga 2024

There are many ways to look at numbers. The original poster isn’t necessarily slandering One Piece. Demon Slayer is an extremely popular series. It isn’t surprising it would supplant One Piece, given Demon Slayer’s concluding movie being released.
I can’t find subscription (VIZ, et al.) readership numbers. Those might paint a different picture.

demon slayer is about samurai incest love between children so its the most japan-pandering thing of all time. it would be strange if it wasnt selling.

Because Demon Slayer is more concise with a better story than One Piss and better fight scenes than either JJK, or One Piss

Demon Slayer is short. A new anime/manga watcher is going to watch Demon Slayer, not One Piece.
Why? It's more accessible.
You don't have to sit through thousands of episodes/chapters
You are not welcomed by outdated animation and pacing issues.
Manga wise, this might be controversial, but Oda's art sucked early One Piece. It's my opinion, don't jump me.

Sales of Finished Manga aren't same as Sales of Manga that is still Active,
If you want to Compare Accurately, you need to Compare OP Manga Sales "After" It's Finished with these Demon Slayer Sales,
Same goes for when Demon Slayer was Ending, those Sales can only be Compared with Sales of One Piece when it's few Volumes from End or/and when Anime is few Months from Ending.

One Piece have ~500 Million Sales for ~110 Volumes, that's Equivalent of 4.5 Million people having All Volumes,
Compare it to Demon Slayer Sales "Before" It ended, or Dragon Ball Sales "Before" it Ended, or Naruto Sales "Before" it Ended ... etc
Approximately, They Averaged Equivalent of 3 Million People having All Volumes,

One Piece Sales are beyond Impressive, and We will see at what Rate They will increase when We reach like Last Five Volumes + Post Ending.
