It's funny that all arguments of ZKK are primarily taken from pre-rooftop comments from Zoro, but then we like to ignore all of Luffy's dialogue post 1009 regarding Kaido and the fact that Zoro hasn't uttered anything regarding Kaido save for this scene:

But nope, can't trust Zoro's own words now because Luffy fell off Onigashima, even though he came back and proclaimed twice over announcements that he'd win (with the second time being when Zoro was already fighting King).

Luffy defeating Kaido is almost required for ZKK to happen if we're talking about the real/proper theory.

I think theres a chance of it happening...but its just like the chance of Trafalgar Law being the one beating Doflamingo at Dressrosa, so i dont think its a solid chance.

Personally I like to think that zoro did give up on his goal of 997 and cutting down kaido I don’t think it’s to crazy to think this because zoro would give up his goals for luffy so he puts complete faith and trust in his captain and like u said zoro hasn’t talked about kaido since then my reasoning as to why oda has zoro doing this is so he can free up time/plot points with zoro like the reaper etc and zoro falling somewhere but ultimately in the end zoro will come to the realization that luffy can’t keep kaido down he will need to finish him off how Oda goes about letting zoro know this idk maybe kaidos victory roar is heard by zoro and everyone else signaling to zoro that he needs to act to save his captain

Funny that people said the same shit with Kid and Law not being the one who is gonna defeat Big Mom because of what they said and what Luffy said
Heh

Not remotely comparable. They actually matched up with BM after the roof. Zoro did not with either Yonko
We don't know what Oda is gonna do. Oda is willing to circumvent all the Luffy's plot with Big Mom for Kid/Law to be the one who beat her, Oda is willing to circumvent Kid's plot with Kaido
Who's to say that he won't find a way to circumvent Zoro's plot with Kaido? Why are you acting so certain that it won't happen? Just because Zoro can't overshadow Luffy? How about the fact that he did overshadow him in Thriller Bark? Or how about the fact that techinically it was Law and Kid who BEAT a Yonko first?
Luffy is gonna defeat Kaido, i'm not doubting that. But capping what Zoro will do because of Luffy is dumb af. It's Oda, and he loves Zoro. If he wants, he will make it happen, no matter what the characters' previous statements were

Zoro isn't Luffy. And he loves Luffy more lmao.

The only reason Kid and Law handled BM is because Luffy is fighting Kaido alone. So I'm not seeing your point here.

I'm taking about you bringing characters' statements to deem ZKK impossible where we know through Luffy and Kid that these statements mean jack shit. It's Oda who will decide if the plot is gonna happen or not.

Bro the whole point I was making was that ZKK basically rides on "statements" made from Zoro from before the rooftop, so isn't that a little hypocritical?

Luffy hasn't said he was "beating" BM since before he started fighting Kaido. Kid "changed" his goals to BM after the rooftop.

Why is this so hard to understand lol. Zoro "changed" his goal from Kaido to King already, like Kid. Like Killer. Like Law. Like Luffy. He now can't move at all.

ODA "changed" their goal. So why is it so hard to think that Oda might change Zoro's goal to ZKK again? It's not the end of the arc. Oda is willing to change all these pieces around so that it can fit his story. So saying it's 0% chance of happening is dumb. Why are you acting so certain that it won't happen?
He couldn't move after rooftop. Oda invented the whole asspull medicine to bring him up. And you are now acting like he can't pull any other asspulls if he wants.
