I think the arc’s 90% over plotwise, how long it takes Oda to actually finish the last 10% is another thing…

There’s about two to three chapters left of this volume, I’d like to think Egghead is over in the volume after that or pushing a bit into the next at the most. I’ve very much enjoyed the arc but don’t think it needs to last any longer than that.

The exception will be if Vegapunk’s message prompts another long cutaway to the rest of the world. I think for the sake of pacing though that should wait until the arc is over.

It will be two more volumes then we will move to Elbaf .

Dorry and Broggy are meeting Sanji and Vegapunk first. One of them or the both of them will carry Vegapunk and Sanji will probably get occupied by a VA or Kaku, maybe even a Seraphim.

A dozen hopefully. Adequate time to wrap up the fights and send the crew to Elbalf. Oda could drag it out though to 20. I'm just glad we're at least in the last stretch of the arc.

20 chapters is the hard cap. Can't see this arc going over 20 chapters, especially since Oda wants to move on to the next island (probably Elbaf) and start some major clash (possibly Shanks vs Blackbeard) this year. Alabasta and Skypiea were both in the 60-70 chapter range, so Egghead probably won't be longer than that.

The bulk of the rest of the arc is probably going to be Vegapunk's announcement and fighting the Marines to escape. Somewhere around 12 chapters is reasonable, with a bit of an epilogue after to set up for the next arc
