It's alright to argue Garp's slam was devastating, but who fainted? Shiryu was laughing and never even let go of his sword. Garp didn't move to finish him off either, and Shiryu was standing straight just fine this chapter.
If missing the leg made it impossible for you to run away, take cover, fight back or whatever, then yes, even if it's not the blood loss (which would have eventually killed you anyway) was the definitive cause of death.
It's not like Aokiji KSed Shiryu, but Shiryu significantly weakened Garp.
Damage over time it was the highest of all attacks, instant single attack damage was also arguably the highest. Signified again and again that Garp was weakened due to the attack in last chapter and again this chapter by none other than Aokiji himself.
Changed the whole dynamic of the fight. The stabbed pushed him into becoming bait so the others could escape. Wouldn't have happened had he not gotten stabbed
Some good Damage but for Beats like Old Garp not enough to slow him a LOT down... if he stabbed him and pulled trough the whole Body like the smart Chad Toji from JJK against Gojo it would have been way more fatal
People comparing the stab to a shoulder stab Sanji took or stab that seemed like it took a chuck of Luffy's side out are not being serious.
Garp was stabbed directly in the gut which is one of the worst places you can be stabbed & immediately he began wobbling and continued to bleed ever since that moment. That was a filthy strike that would put most people down for good. Garp held on due to his will power and continued.
Garp say it is nothing and able to fight . And he say it just flesh wounded . Fodder pirates are creditless because they got proven wrong many times.
‘’One piece fanbase have short memory as katakuri slab his gut yet he continue to fight like nothing .
‘They obviously never read warhammer 40K lore or other media where character can have gut slabbed able to fight like video games regularly.
