Powers & Abilities How much Power ups Luffy can get in a single arc?

Luffy trained a lot for adv CoA and he wasn't a newbie before the training so this pu it's not a asspull.
Adv CoC is the second pu which came under extreme battle conditions and that is quite common in the manga world.
So i only count two pu's and none seems farfetched imo.
From the M3 sanji is the only one that had a complete transformation pu that surpasses even Luffy's pu's. Sanji gained more from luffy without training which again is fine because we are reading manga lol.

Yea if Oda wanna make Luffy win, just give him 1 powerup after the first defeat, the rest is Luffy's unique applications of it and it should be enough to win. Just like revealing Gear 2nd the first time.
The more appropriate question imo should be "should Oda learn more about how to create tension other than make Luffy lose multiple times without real damage"
