General & Others How should the World Government have dealt with the Revolutionary Army ?

#1
Despite the Revolutionary Army being its main source of contestation and opposition with the revolutionaries having pushed the people of dozens of countries to overthrow their sovereigns loyal and/or supported by the WG the CP0 and the marines have done a really unimpressive job at trying to counter this rebellion with them having been unable of arresting any major RA figure outside of Ivankov and Inazuma and even then the two easily managed to escape their cells and create their own private paradise in Impel Down right under Magellan's nose, having been unaware of Kuma's affiliation with the RA and them having been unable of locating Baltigo until the Blackbeard Pirates did it for them.

What should the Government and its armed branches have done to fight the revolution and try to neutralize its command structure ? What strategy should they have used against the revolutionaries ? Who should have been missioned to deal with them ?

There’s not really a lot they could do, I think...if they were more aggressive in squashing the rebellions they incite, it could have the opposite effect and draw more sympathy to the cause. Besides, Dragon has been called the most wanted man in the world, so it’s not like they’ve taken the threat he poses that lightly, either. The WG already takes extreme measures against piracy, that seems to be the bigger issue at play in the One Piece world; their resources are already stretched so thin just keeping that shit in check, they can’t spare much manpower against the rebels.

This is why we should start to wondering how strong Dragon really is, because we should think if Dragon might invade Mariejois or something like that without their commander (Sabo,Karasu,Morley, and Lindbergh).

Which mean, Dragon will be damn strong to fight against the top fighters.

Just because the Revos are having a bit of success agansit the World Government doesn’t mean that the World Government is doing a poor job, it just means the Revo has some talented members with unique devil fruits. The World Government has an excellent job of countering the Revos so far:

- The second they discovered the location of Baltigo, they sent a powerful force of Marines and CP-0 to destroy the base, said force was so powerful that it forced the Blackbeard Pirates to retreat.

- Dragon is the world’s most wanted man

- Kuma is literally a horse slave and that sends a strong signal to any other kings or queens thinking of joining the revos

- the world government defeated the revo force during reverie

what more do you want from the world government at this point?

Government is handling Revolutionaries just fine.
I still don't consider Revolutionaries a real threat to WG. WG is totally on a different scale right now and revolutionaries are way behind.
Only real threat should be Dragon but only on individual level other than that Sabo and others still need to grow a lot to match WG's strength.

They just need to fire all CP agents and recruit new one, who actually doing theyre jobs, and not known as idiots. I mean...when guys like Spandam could lead the squad, how it could be effective? Same thing goes with all previous CP9 agents, including Robb Luchi, who was more interesting in fight, then in mission.
Best squad who actually do it's job is Germa 66, WG should take Germa as their agents.

Let them grow as big as they can so EoS war could be a lil bit fair. Currenly WG too stronk for them to deal with heck run and hide is Revos prefered choice.

The point is that they jusy need to put their HQ in some remote island in the new world (Kawabakka should do just fine), far from the red line and so the power of the navy amd the WG is already in a difficult situation. To deal with the revos properly they would need a force of at least 2 or most likely 3 admirals (deal with Dragon and his captains), even if maube CP0 can already amount to that depending to many conditions.

The problem is that at that point you would have to send a very big portion of WG/navy power far from the HQ leaving them almost undefended and on the top of that they most likely will fall in or close to one or more yonko territories so not only leaving the HQ ubdefended but at risk to losing this big chunk of their force (if they get a bad struck of luck or dependijg on the situatuon).

Even if afterall Dragon and friends evacuated Vertigo only after a small clash with BB, meaning that place was not safe anymore, and the Wg on their side sent only CP0 so things could already be different (even if I doubt CP0 would be enough to deal with Dragon, Sabo and all the others).

Also it is to note that the revos had the guts to attack Marijoa and even if supposedly 3 admirals were enough to capture them nonetheless the revos were on the attacking side so it is also possible that the WG is not so much stronger than the revos already (even if the revos of course have the secrecy as their best weapon and that is why they changed their HQ location as soon as it was discovered by BB and so the navy).

They're trying, but they can't do anything about them because they can't capture them.

We saw it happen just before Whole Cake Island started. They're trying to their best, but just can't do anything because of the dude running it has a brain on him. Reflect back to what happened right after Zou.

The World Government sent a fleet of Marines + CP0 members to invade the RA HQ, the moment they got information on it, the fleet was strong enough to make Blackbeard retreat after a fight. Yet in the end Dragon outplayed them and handed them a L by outsmarting them. He escaped and had the Blackbeard Pirates & World Government fight themselves.

@Zara The World Government has been losing countries to the RA for nearly 8 years now, on a large scale at that. Hell they lost one of their "key" island in the East Blue, Tequila Wolf, just before the timeskip after MF war.
