Speculations How the flying duck did Tama get to Onigashima?

#21
I'm guessing that she probably had Babanuki or some other SMILE user take her to Onigashima.
She was already back at Kuri with the Tengu the last time we saw her, several hundred miles away from Udon. How on earth would she suddenly go back there and bribe Babanuki?

Well, that's the best possible solution so far, but it's still not convincing at all. We saw that there was a massive storm going on. The sea was rough as fuck. For that dog to swim over there in those kind of conditions - with Tama on his back - seems very far fetched.

I'll add what I said in the chapter discussion thread.

I'd also like to include Carribou to the discussion. There's no reason Tama can't learn about his ability to transport people inside him. She was there at Udon when he was being congratulated by Raizo. The real question would be how she convinced him to help if that's the case.

Same thing I already said above: She was already back in Kuri with the others, at least a hundred miles away from Udon. How on earth could she just travel back to Udon in order to talk to Caribou? It's not like he came along with them.

She could have told Tenguyama to take her back to Udon or she could have called Babanuki to come to Kuri or she could have tamed another SMILE user at Wano and then use them to get her to Onigashima, I don't know any other way she could have gotten there and this is the only less crazy explanation I can think of.

The Tengu was already furious as hell at Tama (just remember his snail calls) and would've never let her go away again just like that. He made that pretty clear.

Even if she called Babanuki, which I doubt she could do from so far away, it would've taken over a day for him to arrive in Kuri.
We know that, since Linlin & Co. also needed over a day to travel from from Kuri to Udon.

If she somehow stole away again and traveled to Udon herself, it would take her at least two days, since she would also have to travel back again.

The time line doesn't add up in those cases like at all.

Read my last post, I edited it just a few seconds ago and answered the last question.
Like I said before she could have also gotten another SMILE user to take her there, I'm trying my best to come up with some less bs explanation. If it wasn't for Komachiyo it would be more easier to explain, I really can't think of any other reason and it seems like you just have to wait until the next chapter in order to find out how she got there and that's if Oda actually tells us.

Adrenaline rush. As usual. High level pretending as a constructive critic. Guess sugar levels are so high that you can't wait till Oda gives an explanation.

'No one can convince me' like you mentally prepared even if Oda gives logical explanation you are not ready to accept.

Post automatically merged:

dunno why people blame the plot or the writing, that is stupid

I expected Tama to appear and it was teased because it was mentioned that she is useful in this war. I will trust Oda to explain this well, I will give Oda one chance, if neccessary 10 chances to explain.
Because most of the people here are unable to think beyond certain character got L or W or low diff/neg diff/A character is better than B etc.

Man, it totally has to be like plot armor or trash writing or something. Because there’s definitely no way that a massive, giant dog couldn’t have swam. No possible way whatsoever. Never heard of a dog swimming before, myself.

Stunning. Just terrible writing. /s
In the conditions we saw (massive storm, huge waves, dangerous currents all around Onigashima etc.) a big dog with an 8-year old girl on his back swimming 10-20 miles over to that island would indeed be very questionable writing.

Wouldn't that be Kid Shirahoshi at best? Lol

But I don't know if she was already able to tame them, allegedly though.

Actually Tama simply owns the most powerful dog in the anime, I don't recall a stronger one, not in my mind.
oda could limit her power to not effect sea kings but shirahoshi can control groups of sea king at the same time from a distance, tama needs be close and only do one at a time.
