Speculations How will Blackbeard defeat Law?

#21
Remember when people were saying Law’s Shockwille wasn’t more impressive than Gamma Knife because the most it did was made BM angry at him?:tch:

If SW premiere by being used on BB first, with the effect it caused him, I can’t imagine the kind of insane hype it would get. People would say 2 SWs is a Yonko sweep. :willsmith:

Shock Wille didn't really achieve all that much against Blackbeard lol.

We all know that he will, but the question is how?

This battle needs to establish Teach as a threat, he needs to show off a new ability imo. So what will it be?
  • something related to his unique body
  • yami yami no mi awakening
  • gura gura no mi awakening
  • third DF
My guess? Gura gura no mi awakening. If he uses the awakened gura gura no mi powers, it won't just be felt on that island they are on, the entire world will tremble due to Teach's earthquakes. We will get the reactions of the Gorosei, Luffy, Shanks, and whomever else. This is an ability which, as per Sengoku's words, can destroy the world. Teach showing that he has awakened the gura gura no mi will instantly boost his bounty even higher than it already was. Whereas now he is 3.6 billion, Gura gura no mi awakening could easily push him over 5 billion. That was around Whitebeard's bounty, after all.
I still believe someone else is gonna interfere.

  • You're hyping Shiryu just in case he ends up stronger than Kuzan, aren't you? lmfao
Nah no way! Said in the spoiler thread multiple times that i don't see those sneak attacks as hype for Shiryu's power level. There's absolutely a zero procent chance that Shiryu is even close to Kuzan imo.

I do think that's going to happen tho and it ain't doing any favours to the crowd that desperately wanks Shiryu

Oda just needs to make Law go all out with his awakening and make Teach tank all that shit.Basic yami and gura combo is scary enough.I think BB will steal the poneglyphs and the fight will end without conclusion.Someone will crash the party.

I don't think Shiryu's that strong either. It's just that I find it funny that you're so fixed on this theory since the spoilers. But Zoro is already knocking the top-tier door, and if Shiryu's gonna be a challenge to Zoro even outside his invisibility, then we'll have to acknowledge his power as a top-tier class. Also, if his ability makes him undetectable to CoO, then even most top tiers will have trouble fighting him.

Hiding in a one-on-one while still being able to attack is a different monster altogether. Attacks to have presence according to Rayleigh, so peeps might be able to detect in using that kinda CoO. If CoO doesn't help, however, then we have no reason to believe why Shiryu couldn't walk up 99.99% of the characters and cut their throats.

What do you think will happen
Black Vortex will sap Law's DF powers away and Law will awaken CoC.
Or somehow Law will get into a situation where he can negotiate safe passage for himself and his crew in exchange for PG rubbings.
Blackbeard winning is too obvious while he cant make use of Law's powers and handing Law over to someone like Ace makes no sense...

I agree that BB winning is too obvious, even by Oda’s standards but idk if that will change anything. BB needs a win, even if it’s by technicality

He already has such a win back in the Payback war.
Beating Law grants him nothing new.
Getting Law's fruit makes no sense whatsoever.

Nobody is a surgeon to make good use of it.
And making Blackbeard eternally young serves no purpose.
And seems like using BB as hype tool for others is normal for Oda...

BB even being pushed to mid diff imo is not great for his hype, most people had Luffy wrecking Law and Kidd together. If he doesn't atleast cleanly win this Idk what Oda is smoking. Although consistent with their portrayal the Shiryu scenario is the worst possible outcome for Shiryu or BB fans. It would be cool to see from a personality perspective, this crew doesn't gaf. We saw Van Auger try to shoot Law from behind, this isn't a boxing bout. But regardless that would be back to back questionable appearances for Teach near the end game.
