How well will Loki perform against Imu?

Being nerfed by Seastone makes up for this, since it makes DF users entirely vulnerable. Ace goes from a YC level character to *completely vulnerable* to the fodder executioners. It's a plot device. Oda is emphasizing Loki's wounds as major, so it is, we don't need to overthink OP

Same with Gaban going from stronger than Gunko, to being one shot once he was vulnerable for a second. It doesn't necessarily make sense, but this happens with Oden, Roger, Garp and Shanks, so make of it what you will.

As for the broader argument, I can agree to disagree for now. I'll wait for an explicit statement to counter the one we got, but maybe at the end of Elbaf, we can open up the discussion again if Oda doesn't do anything with it.
I mean, Roger wasn't nerfed by seastone when he got impaled by fodder executioners, and WB was getting stabbed by fodders too.

Do you agree that my food point could serve as a convenient excuse for how Loki healed up?

My point is that if a character doesn't defend themselves they will die. This happens to seastone users automatically, and Roger and Shanks did it by choice. There is no character in the story who doesn't end up with a fatal wound while being attacked by Seastone. The fact that you cleared up the fact that Gunko didn't use her arrows on Loki actually makes me more confident about thos.

It could be an excuse if Oda wants it to be, yes.

Just curious, what are some other examples of characters besides Luffy getting inflated after eating a lot? Given how often Oda uses that as an excuse to give Luffy a full heal, I feel like him drawing Loki in the same way is pretty solid proof tbh that Loki healed up

Funnily Oda could have keep the extent of Loki's damage actually vague, but the fact he literally has a doctor state that it would take *months* of recovery makes it hard to deny Oda wants us to keep in mind Loki won't be in his best shape on Elbaf.
Heck, I can't remember any instance where Oda specifically has a character that it would take months for another one to be fully healthy
Fr and a nice parallel with Zoro.

Pre-TS Zoro has always been nerfed by Mihawk’s slash, which would have taken two years to recover from.

Nerfed Zoro against his opponents.

I have no idea, I'll let you conduct your own research on this one.

Better than Zoro and Sanji, but that's not saying much.

Honestly, it depends on what Oda wants to do here:

1) Full on Imu glaze to set up for final war: Luffy/Imu will get owned

2) Partial defeat to send him back to MJ: Either a tag team, or Luffy comes in deus ex machina

3) The very unlikely scenario that Imu gets defeated in Elbaf: Same as Law/Luffy in DR

he didn’t fight in base
Another questionable leak said something different. We will see, of course, but I think Loki was pushed to use dragon form because using Dragon Form means that he threw away Ragnir. Which means it basically didn't work against Imu, so Loki transformed. Now let's see if my third prediction will work, that Imu will decide to flex his Monster form, showing what real big size means
