I know it’s not the easiest arc to follow but these characters have been introduced in the last chapter. You dont even have to read everything back, just skim through the chapters it’ll be enough imo

What I respect so much about Togashi is that he always sticks true to his story/ideas and never feels pressured to write "hype moments" just for the sake of hype moments.

99% of all other mangakas would've returned with some kind of crazy ass reveals, main character fiesta etc., which would've looked out of place if you re-read the arc in one go again.

Togashi just returns after 4 years and continues his story right where he left off.

Chapter itself was rock solid, the fight was brilliantly done though. Hinrighs's Hatsu is nice and the brutality shown this chapter was on point!

That fight led to one of the major subplots of this current arc, has been set-up since Yorknew and the only thing stopping it was a nen exorcist. It was easily bound to happen soon....it didnt come out of nowhere.

That’s not entirely true. The fandom still felt something off when we were suddenly teleported to the arena. Instead of giving us a few pages, Togashi gave an explanation/text to explain that actually Hisoka was actively hunting Chrollo. Togashi should have given us something during the chimera ants arc when the troupe was protecting their home city

im cracking up that ppl waited 4 years for more gon and kurapika and hoping to see all their fav chars again and togashi is like ok. im in the middle of a fight scene with Hinrigh Biganduffno. let's take our time with this.

Honestly, the people that expected Gon have probably forgotten not only the last chapters before the hiatus but the whole arc.

But we already know Hisoka was hunting Chrollo. He was literally in Greed Island looking for a Nen excorcist for him. We know Hisoka was working with the Phantom Troupe to help Chrollo get his Nen back to fight him.

Their is nothing off since, Chrollo vs Hisoka led to a important plot point in this current arc. It had to happen, or else the entire Hisoka subplot and other possible subplots wouldnt be occuring.
