I think it's just Shishio that gave you this disdain for Sword Wank lol, in my opinion Shishio took pure, unadulterated, shameless Sword Wank further than anyone else lol. If you were about to argue that Zoro was anything less than 100% godalpha in literally every aspect of his life, Shishio was about to hit you with giant text walls and personal insults lmfao.

Considering that not a single individual from the Z Team has uttered blasphemous slurs against most revered Lord Urouge, trivialised the greatness of Whitebeard, wanks Jack the Lought or grievously insulted my beloved Kingdom, I would say the Alliance with those Z chaps is going rather well.
