Speculations I’m inclined to believe now that the certain pirate Shanks was talking about… is Luffy and it was due to his fruit

Actually, there is evidence: Blackbeard made zero moves prior to the Reverie when Shanks went to visit them. There is also zero reason to hide the name of the pirate if its Blackbeard.
With Luffy, the twist on hiding the name works. Who made the news right before Shanks went to visit them? Luffy.
We also have zero idea what Shanks' true goals are with Luffy. Its very obvious that it can be him.

No. No one the entire series shows to have a single clue of Luffy's DF. Oda made out of nothing, never had any preparation for it.
Teach invaded Baltigo where Revos base were. When that was a movement not explained at all. Teach really did that just for DFs or maybe he wanted something else? Maybe Shanks was talking about it. Or he went to talk about Doflamingo after all he controlled the underground and he said the world would be upside down without him. Maybe he went to talk about Big Mom or Kaido that Luffy already faced one and was going to face the other. Still many options. Oda can just introduce a new character as he is often doing. Not necessarily a new pirate but a veteran well knowned worldwide but new to us like a Rocks member.
