Law never was the new Whitebeard nor he ever will be, and Kidd isn't the new Shikki either. There won't be any equivalent to them in the new generation, no rivals to Luffy aside from Blackbeard as the more evil rival and nemesis.

Also Sabo has ACoA and possibly on par hardening to Kata's, plus his fruit lets him use widespread AoE attacks which would counter Kata's Future Sight perfectly.
He could also tank attacks from casual Issho and match him in combat.

When it comes to the family aspect Katakuri is the best choice for next whitebeard

When it comes to strength and being a powerful rival and still friend to Luffy for a long time I think Oda is setting up Loki for that role

Loki looked up to Rocks who was a rival to Luffy who Luffy looks up to Loki battled Luffys other Idol Shanks they both are extremely powerful

I can see Loki becoming Luffys #1 long lasting rival

BB= Xebec

Loki= Whitebeard

Luffy= Roger

Nami= Big Mom 👀

Kid= Shiki🤔

Law doesn't really have a Roger era equivalent be it strength, personality or abilities 🤔 or even history

I mean Oden had the scabbarbs which is a pseudo pirate crew and he still joined whitebeard and Roger,

I imagine Yamato ordering whoever pledges allegiance to her, to make up for what they did on and to the citizens of Wano and protect them and the country it would be an interesting twist of faith if King promises Yamato to protect Wano and becomes Momo's advisor and has the person who knew Kaido longer and better than anyone he could give insight on how his powers work maybe even more so than Yamato could

Once that's said in done Yamato sets sail to catch up with Luffy and the gang

But of course there's a curve ball and Yamato finds Ulti and Page one stowed away on her ship
