Did you read just the beginning of the Manga or did you not even try it? Cause the Art is fine for most of the People and it fits cause in this Manga in every damn Chapter Heads are flying and Bodys get cut into pieces. Its a War Manga and the Story is great but the Action and Hype is unmatched honestly
The art is not as pretty Ravages of Time or One Piece, but the art has character to it that holds up remarkably well given the scale of the battles and whatnot.

Kingdom is up there for me but I don't like how stagnant the characters feel mentally and physically after a certain point
Shin is a General with the mental capacity of a 12 year old that can barely lead his own army. I know he's a shonen MC but I expected different after such a gritty start to the series
Without Ten and Kyoukai he would've peaked at a 1-2k man commander
The instinctual general shit is just like observation in One Piece aka entirely dependent on the plot. One second Shin's running around like a retard the next second he's able to see through an advanced strategy that no one else on the field can understand
At least with Duke Hyou it was consistent
He also... doesn't age for some reason? That applies to most of the main characters actually. Dudes almost 30 and looks like a teenager
Mouten and Ouhon are both more interesting than him
Still a mostly good manga overall though. I don't love everything but I do think it's a good read
