There's anoher reason I wouldn't recommend Avowed, though: it's the third game of a saga.

Yeah, that's part of what I meant when I mentioned the developers. There were also some disturbing comments from their Discord that were allegedly leaked this weekend (as continuation to the Musk stuff. Same art director).


Regardless, as per my original comment on the topic, if I wouldn't recommend the game on here is for the unrelated reason that I mentioned. I'd recommend anyone to play Pillars of Eternity beforehand, yourself included if you have not.

Zelda is a great place to start you can pick up, if you have a Switchor plan on getting one go ahead and pick up breath of the wild and then tears of the kingdom, then you can branch off from there. Ratchet and Clank only have two modern games on ps5 for physical or download , the older games need to be streamed through a subscription service. Also PlayStation has more than a handful of epic adventure games and rpgs, can look into Horizon Zero Dawn for like a weird prehistoric post apocalyptic sci fi mashup it has Zelda like aspects. For less of a fantasy you can look into Uncharted and or Tomb Raider series very cinematic block buster movie vibe action packed adventures. I would also like to shout out to Shadow of the Colossus as an immersive and epic journey with the core of it feeling like David vs Goliath type of encounters with amazing music. God of War series is probably the biggest name for action adventure fantasy, epic action and cool inspiration from mythology on PlayStation. This stuff is say anyone could jump into and have a good time.
