I will surpass Oda

I’m an engineer now

think I’d still want to publish something before I die. But it’s hardly a priority.

I think when I made this post I really didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. Feel like I figured a lot of things out in the past 3 years.

I love art, but turning it into a career would probably kill any enjoyment I have from it. Also, I dislike the industry. I think it’s basically a slop machine. For what it’s worth Oda is the king of the manga industry and is wholly worth of that praise.

but being Oda seems awful

TBH good choice, people who always bashing Oda and other author didn't knew the reality of being Mangaka or Author

Listen up weebs, I've had enough

I'm tired of this manga and its awful writing, so I'm going to create my own. I'm going to create a manga much better in quality than One Piece, then I shall become King of the mangaka.

My art and writing are mediocre, and I'm already 21, which I guess means that I am the Eustass "Captain" Kid of my own story. But I'm cool with that. More than anything I aspire to create art for art's sake.

Anyways just thought I'd formally declare my ambitions. I'll edit in some concept art and maybe even a oneshot whenever that gets done.
Let me guess
You’ll make a stoic character with no character development and make him “one shot” every single one of his opponents as well as making him the strongest

No way I actually read you like a book just now
Shit too easy

Such a transformative endeavor will be the journey of storytelling..

Trust in your mind to craft the truth, your hand to scream emotions, and your heart to meet yourself.

You shall rise and shine. Good luck.

@Monkey D Theories just checking on you. Any update on your manga here?
Decided I want to write a novel now

I’m debating to what extent I will share about it on this site. Kinda want to keep my authorial persona separate from the rest of my digital footprint.

I want to take authorship seriously as it is a time investment and financial investment. So I don’t know if it would really be a good idea to tie my professional work with an account where I made threads like “Blackbeard is pregnant”.

But I think unlike drawing a manga, this is something I will actually be able to complete. Writing is a lot more accessible for me. I always have time to write a sentence or two between my tasks at work or when I’m bored. While I liked drawing, I feel like the mechanical intensity required in the task always put me off.

Currently aiming to be published in 5 years. Been seriously working for about a month now. Have done a bunch of worldbuilding, have some good characters concepts, and am currently working on a prologue.

The story is an Epic Fantasy. Kinda Brandon Sanderson like, maybe a bit more dark, and trying to have better prose than him.
