Break Week I wish Akainu would reject his position

It is quite the realistic depiction. Very often in life the greatest specialist (Akainu) is promoted but it’s not necessarily best for either the specialist nor the company. Garp knew this so he allowed Sengoku to become FA and in return Garp was allowed freedom to do what he does best.
Perhaps the best move would be to promote the Sengoku of the new generation (Tensei Kurouma) and give Akainu title of ”Chief Operating Officer, COO” with full freedom to act on the field. Thus Akainu can leave the office and The Marines will be much more dangerous with a proper strategist like Tensei as the FA.
For those that read Naruto/Boruto
Akainu = Naruto (best specialist but not best leader)

He got Kizaru and Fuji talking right back to him. Must be that they are about similar age, I dont think any of the C3 would talk to Sengoku like they did.
But Akainu himself showed quite an attitude to the Elders.
As characters I would love them to be true top tiers equal to the Yonkos and Elders.
I want the Admirals to fight the Elders and beat them. If there was no Kitetsu connection with Venus for Zoro I would be pushing the Five Admirals against the Five Elders agenda pretty hard.
But Akainu himself showed quite an attitude to the Elders.
As characters I would love them to be true top tiers equal to the Yonkos and Elders.

That’s not entirely true, Akainu’s leadership is exceptional as far as we know, his ferocity and determination lead to the strongest version of the navy ever, he is in fact the best leader the marines ever had
As for pre ts & post ts, I don’t think it matters much, post ts will probably bring an even more menacing version of Akainu

Shikamaru is far from a hokage if we go by strength. By far the weakest of the 8 and that includes Tsunade who herself was the weakest of the Sannin. We know absolutely nothing about Kuroumas strength apart from the hint that his main strength is his mind like Shikamaru.
Btw I’d like to add the parallell of Garp - Jiraiya. Both refused promotions FA/Hokage and instead taught some of the strongest in the Mid Gen (Pain, Minato, Aokiji) and New Gen (Naruto, Ace, Luffy).

I think the fandom has created a myth out of nothing honestly.
Ryo simply said he likes how Akainu does things, but was introduced didn't giving a fuck about a direct order from Akainu (kicking Fujitora out of MJ) and was presented still didn't giving a fuck about another one (not coming to Wano).
And he cleary has a different objective from Akainu:
He quite clearly Is A LOT more autonomous than what some people believe out of nothing, really.

Lets say Shikamaru does (I’m not convinced).
Kurouma (black horse) is the only character in the entire series except Admiral candidates Momousagi and Chaton to have a color animal alias. He is literally 1 of 3 admiral candidates. Nothing average about him. Might not be exceptional in strength (like Shikamaru) but he is surely no slouch.
