What if the ice demon doesn't work on him like it does others? Diseases have different effects on animals compared to humans. Some diseases that kill humans instantly can live a very long time inside animals.

What if because chopper is a reindeer and hence is used to living in freezing environments, ice demon doesn't actually kill him? Rather, it becomes a sort of power up for Chopper?

while his flames are not as effective on others like on himself, it can still heal others, like we saw back when he was shown with nekomamushi

There is no way Chopper will not become feral as a result of the virus. We seen it happen with all victims and it would be strange for him to be an exception.
