Powers & Abilities if Jinbei gets a Power-Up do you think it will feel Deserved or Just because he's a Strawhat?

Not sure when he reached his prime, but Kaido got stronger after his 40s (after the Oden fight, per Oden's own call at death's door: "build your strength while you can!")... he possibly got in his prime at his 50s. Urouge also has about the same age as Jinbe and definitely got stronger during the timeskip (went from getting beaten by a single pacifista to be able to beat a Yonko commander), so Jinbe can surely get stronger.
It seems that most characters' primes in OP happen between the late 40s and the late 50s (e.g.: the admirals, Roger, Whitebeard, et al.), with few notable exceptions, but still somewhat old by real-life standards (e.g.: Blackbeard, Shanks, Mihawk). Maybe the younger strawhats will be the ones to break this paradigm, but so far Jinbe still has room to grow by OP's standards.

My problem with him getting stronger is the same problem I have with him joining the crew, which is there really shouldn't be anything that Jinbei hasn't come up against before. He has been allied to 2 yonko crews, first mate of fisher tiger and a warlord... so his character development should already be complete. Even the god knights' weren't particularly surprising to him and it's been heavily implied that defeating them isn't a feat of battle power but a specific technique relating to conquerors.
Perhaps the final journey to Raftel can logically see him improve, but anything before that will be because he's a Strawhat. Right now, we can infer from bounty that he is stronger than sanji and weaker than zoro, so any feat beyond YC1/2 level will be plot armour.
