If that was the case then Oda would have chosen both to endure luffys pain and damage wouldn't he? He already proved that Sanji was as loyal as Zoro by him trying to sacrifice himself too. That was enough to show the importance of Sanji. Oda sometimes isn't scared to kill of an important character, take a look at Ace for example. Zoro very well could have died and it doesn't have to be necessarily plot that saved him. Zoro was always known for his high level of endurance and who was a better candidate to survive such a thing like that than zoro himself? We cannot call everyone who has extreme endurance feats blessed by plot in my opinion. At least plot isn't the only reason why zoro survived.
Oda never was going to kill Zoro in that moment. Ace was killed because he wasn’t integral to the plot despite being a relatively important character. The reason Sanji wasn’t chosen for that moment is simply because it was Zoro’s moment, his time to shine. It was a huge character moment for both of them showing their loyalty to Luffy and both were every bit as willing to die as the other but ultimately Oda gave the moment to Zoro because he was most suited for it, especially as Luffy’s right hand, as Luffy’s partner. Zoro was best suited for it.
Sanji got koed from a hilt strike to the gut from zoro. He was already at his limit and was pretty much done. The small bubble kuma gave Zoro would have put Sanji out. Zoro was used cuz he's the only one that could take the damage and be alive without it being bad writing. Every sh could take the damage had oda wanted because he rarely kills characters especially not the main case but how believable it is comes into play.

If Oda had Zoro and Sanji share Luffy's pain, then I think there would still be discourse. Fanboys would hypothetically compare which bubble was larger, who was more damaged/exhausted beforehand, etc.
As an aside, Sanji shouldn't be shitted on because Zoro knocked him out. Sanji was trying to do everything he could to protect Luffy and Zoro. However, Zoro is the one whose pride and dream are strongly emphasized throughout the story. IMO Zoro sacrificing himself for Luffy's sake is much more effective than the two of them sharing that feat. Furthermore, Oda still sets Sanji aside as one of the few SHs who actually know the whole situation.

First, Sanji took much more damage than Zoro at this point.
Second, it was Zoro's moment, not Sanji's.
If you think it makes sense then you also must agree that Pell surviving the Nuke made sense right? Because it's always funny how Zoro fans say Pell surviving the Nuke was BS, he had plot armor etc. but it somehow made sense for Zoro to survive that and wasn't plot armor. Zoro could barely stand and thought he would die, then somehow takes the whole pain and didn't die, even tho a little piece fucked him up badly.

Dude you said Zoro could barely stand and he's always had better durability and endurance than sanji. By your own logic Sanji wasn't as damaged as Zoro if Zoro can barely stand according to you.
It didn't make sense for Pell to survive a nuke because he's never been shown to be that durable and at that point it really should have killed any character hit bit in that arc. Yet again it's believable Zoro could survive luffy's damage it's not for sanji who at the point went down to a hilt strike. I not getting what's so hard to understand. I get you if Zoro got koed by a Sanji kick then took all of luffy's pain staying conscious cuz that wouldn't make sense.
Zoro would have died is chopper one of the best doctors in the show didn't help him. Zoro never thought he'd die to luffy's pain he just accepted Kuma's offer. Zoro's endurance has always been highlighted as a huge part of his character. There's things he can do that Sanji can't case in point RN hakai in wano. It's not plot armor that something is believable for Zoro and not Sanji. It's believable Zoro could take luffy's pain only people like you who want to act like sanji could argue this. As much as you want sanji to be zoro he's not and that's not a negative thing as sanji is his own character.
