I've never understood the concept of dying alone, you were born alone and will die alone regardless of who you're with, besides if you can't enjoy your own company then the relationship won't be based on love but fear.
I had neighbors growing up that are both dead now, they grew old together and the wife passed away, the husband lived alone for 4-6 years before he was taken to a retirement home where he too passed away, rip to them both.
The point of the story is, people acting like dying alone is a scary thing aren't logical.
