How does someone lose reputation from killing a yonko? 
Finally accepting zoro isn't done, and will kill kaido. Now get ready when kaido awakens, he will be at his max, and zoro will do it then.

Zoro is done this arc and probably the next, taking out a YC1 has put him in a terrible state and he might not recover until EOS
Yonkou is not defined by a person's power alone but by political power. Yonkous literally means emperor, emperor is one who dominates several territories and has influence over thousands of people.
If you look at the chapter where Luffy is called 5 Yonko for the first time, you will see that before that the whole situation was explained, that he has thousands of man under his command, that he led the attack against Big Mom and that he Defeated Katakuri.
