Kaido was captured 19 times by the marines, they tried to execute him 40 times, had him restrained with seastone and yet no Admiral was strong enough to kill a defeated young base Kaido. Powerlevels are bitch but only for the Admirals.

Seems we're forgetting that Kaido is literally touted as un-killable even to the point that he himself can't do it

He's also one of the most durable characters to exist in the One Piece verse and even being able to cut him is seen as surprising

No one is forgetting anything, they're just this limited, suddenly Kaido isn't nigh invincible with off the charts durability and regen because Zoro.
