Chapter Discussion Imu is controlling Gunko

#21
Gunko is either

1) A Nerona and Oda is hiding it for later hence why she's the only one with no family name reveal so far. That'd make a Imu descendant

2) The Luffy to Shamrock's Shanks. A kid he saved and who idolize him. It would contrast the influence of the twin brothers on the next generation. Problem is Shamrock doesn't seem so nice that he would raise a random kid to CD and HK statut.

3) A regular ass CD and Oda just brain farted and forgot to give her family name during her intro

It would be similar as dynamic. You introduce what It seem a secondary villain, then it gets revealed as the final boss undercover
Hehe it was clear indeed!
By the way now i think its possible that even the Imu present in Marejois isnt even in his real body (if he even has one! He may be a demon without a touchable body) but maybe he is controling the body of someone, like Lili Nefertari or even the previous Joy Boy

Now we know Imu is controlling Gunko and Oda smartly connected her to Brook not Revo army or Kidd’s childhood friend or Ginny clone .

It’s smart move from Oda personally to me it will have deeper impact to the straw hat crew if Gunko was tragically enslaved during Nativd hunting when Brook left for Piracy .

From chapter we saw two hints :

1. Brook was a former mercenary worked for a certain kingdom where Gunko resided . We don’t know why he became pirate and what inspired him in first place ?

2. Gunko calling father in flashback does not mean Brook is the father we already saw with Kuma and Bonney , Luffy and Ace . The family relation in OP is not like bloodline rather they are adopted etc .

Here is my thoughts Gunko was probably participant of Native hunting competition her skills impressed Gorosei and asked her to join as Holy knight warriors .

We know Orphans are easy target , Mother Caramel recruited them and some of them worked for World Govt .

Now question is why Imu took active interest in Gunko it maybe related to her stealth like abilities and easy to disguise from enemy (Her face mask resembles Ninja kinda reminds me of Kakashi ) and stay undercover . Given Imu likes operating behind the scenes Gunko is reliable person to be used .

Gunko is an interesting character with a lot of mysteries surrounding her. Given that she has no saint title, it suggests she might be either a slave or an illegitimate child.

Her abilities closely resemble the power Imu used to kill Cobra, which raises questions about their connection.

- Gunko possesses extensive knowledge about Nika, and when Sommer asks who she fears, she responds with "Nika." However, this is strange since she has never met Luffy or Nika before.

- Her military uniform bears a resemblance to the Revolutionary Army's attire. This gives the impression that she may have been captured, similar to Ginny, and is now being used by Imu to monitor the outside world.

- Imu seems to be actively recruiting powerful warriors to fight against Nika, as seen in the attempt to recruit Loki, which ultimately failed.

- Gunko, like the other Gorosei, can create magical circles—an ability exclusively shown by the Gorosei. This suggests that she shares the same powers as Imu.

These points indicate that Gunko plays a significant role in Imu’s strategy and could have a deeper backstory linked to the Revolutionary Army or a past enslavement.

Solid display of FS, Jesse.

Confirmed this chapter. It seems Brook might be her father, which means he was a CD all along.
