I’m going to count recent plot revelations as points in favor of this thread.
Imu appears to be the main antagonist of Elbaph. Considering Oda will continue to raise the stakes throughout the story, do we really think the final antagonist of the entire manga is someone who we are already going to fight and arguably repel in Elbah?
Also, I think the idea that Imu is not fully evil seems to be pretty strong as well. Imu I seems to have compassion for his subordinates, even a complete bum like Lommers. Would the final villain really be humanized in this manner?
