In Hindu mythology, Ashura are demon who opposed the gods, In Ramayan, the main antagonist was an Ashura.

In Buddhism, Ashura reside in one of the six realms and have constant war with God.

In Zoroastrianism, they are consider god.

@nik87 what do you think?
Bajrang gun the attack which took down Kaido was inspired from Hanuman in Ramayan, one of the Ally of Ram who helped him to fight against Ravan the Ashura.

If we consider that Oda took inspiration from hindu mythology then Zoro is the real demon in Ashura mode 😨😨

Hilarious since the kanji for “Demon God” is literally what’s used to write Ifrit Jambe
The first time Zoro used Asura against Kaku back in Chapter 417, Kaku twice referred to Zoro's Asura appearance as "Demon God" or Kishin (鬼神). Zoro has also prefaced each Asura usage with "Demon Aura" or Kiki (鬼気).

Kitetsu means demon piercer, and Enma is the Japanese version of Yama, the ruler of hell. When Arber asked Zoro if he intended to become a king, he chose to name his power-up King of Hell.

So, as far as demonic ties go, Zoro has more going for him.
