Speculations Imu's thought process. (Garp knows some "stuff")

Okay so first of all, this is my first thread/post. Greetings to everyone.

Now, I just want to point out something that is being kinda overlooked.

WHY WAS GARP WITH SHIRAHOSHI ? (kinda acting like her escort/bodyguard)

My speculation is based around this question. First of all, We know Imu~sama had four targets for this "Cleansing" .

+ Vivi

So, why these four to begin with?
Blackbeard - first man with two devil fruits + D clan bonus + probably inherited will of Rocks D Xebec
But he's a powerful pirate + out of reach atm. So nono to him.
Luffy - emerging power + D clan bonus + Dad's a big guy + inherited Roger's will ( Rayleigh's support)
Not as powerful as BB, but in Wano. So nono to him too.
But why the two princesses?
What threat does those two are to someone as powerful as World Govt.
.......
So, my speculation is that Imu(~sama) knew that mermaid princess is Poseidon.
But then why didn't they went for one of the ancient weapons?
That is where Garp comes in. Why was he there with them all the time?
how about he was there to protect them? Since Roger could trust him with his son, why can't he tell him the truth or at least some important bits? He told Whitebeard about it, so why not Garp?
So, if Garp knew "the truth" about the mermaid princess, then him being with her almost all the time makes sense. so again nono to her too.

Now then, it leaves Vivi. why her?
Here I'm not so confident about my speculations, but I'll put them out anyways.
Vivi's family is a known defector from WG.
They maybe knew some secrets too.

PLUS chances are that Vivi knows something about "Pluton" (through Cobra) + Within range.

Now I might also add that I'm of the belief that the WG does not want the ancient weapons for themselves.
They want to destroy them.
They are confident that they can't be defeated without Ancient weapons.

That's it from me today. I know this wasn't any theory or something like that.
I just wanted to get my thoughts out, nothing else.

I think you are on to something with "inherited will". Its a HUGE theme in the story.

- Shirahoshi is a mermaid princess, and essentially part of a bloodline that passes the power of Poseidon every so often.

- Blackbeard I truly believe has the will of Rocks. Its why Oda is introducing him or teasing his character. I don't think he's alive, but I do think Rocks was Im's archenemy at one point.

- Like Rocks, I think Luffy carries Roger's will. HOWEVER, he also probably carries Joy Boy's too. Perhaps there is another "Rocks-like" person from Joy Boy's time who's will Rocks inherited.

- Then you have Vivi, whom we truly don't know what Alabasta has to do with anything yet. This one is interesting because Im didn't destroy the picture.


I find it interesting that Shanks and none of the other Yonko are part of this, or even Dragon/Garp. Its possible that none of these characters are truly connected to "inherited will" like the others are. What is going to be interesting is how these characters fall within the story.

Oh, I didn't remember that.
I did little to no research on this topic. It's just my thoughts.
Though, I would like to say that if those words came from someone in WG, it would've carried more weight.

Pluton is not in Alabasta. This is one of the most easily misunderstood plot points in that arc. Crocodile brought Robin there to find its location, because he knew the Poneglyph had information on Pluton.

Robin lied to him and told him random Alabasta history, when in fact it did have Pluton's location there. However, in NO WAY does it insinuate the weapon is at Alabasta. Just like how the Shandian Poneglyph talks about Poseidon. It wasn't in Shandia, it was on Fishman Island in the form of the mermaid princess.


That said, I DO believe Plutons location leaked from the Reverie, either by Cobra or Vivi knowing the info of the Poneglyph, because Blackbeard and the Marines seem to be fighting over "something" right now and the Marines can't even afford additional forces for Wano because of it and capturing the Shichibukai
