Gigabeard is too unique, he would suck Kong's cock to ensure his scheme is going as planned. He will accept disgrace today to profit tomorrow.

That's something not Xebec, not Roger nor Sasuke would do.

Teach is the not the moon to Condom's sun, he the fecking black hole that swallows all.

@Topi Jerami drop your two cents too.
My Blackbeard related posts kept getting deleted, must be the doing of your snitching sister Erkek

Closest thing to Sasuke was law from PH to dressrossa. Other than that there is no equivalent to Sasuke in OP. Sasuke was secondary protagonist in Naruto.

OP in post skip is heavily centred around goofy.
But Blackbeard is the only person who grows at Luffys Rate, and is always one step above. Law isn’t anything like Sasuke tbh idk what people are trying to cook. We’re talking about someone with the same plot armor as the MC that is undoubtedly Blackbeard

There is no Sasuke in One Piece

In fact, I like that BB and Luffy starting sharing barely anything, and they don't think much about each other until current times, they are both doing their own thing until eventually they will inevitably clash for their dream, instead of being obsessed with each other.

Because of that BB is not like Vegeta-type either, BB and Luffy are techincally rivals because of the end goal, but they don't see each other as someone they must defeat until that break point, frankly Luffy and BB as I said only have beef because of the Ace thing.

BB isn't an protagonist like Sasuke. He is a ultimate pirate villain set up for goofy to beat.

No.

- Blackbeard is Luffy's ennemy and one of the man responsible for his brother's death and Sasuke was Naruto's friend.

- The reincarnation in Naruto wasn't the problem of Naruto. The problem of Naruto was the lack of foreshadowing for said reincarnation plotline and a lack of foreshadowing of the Sage/Kaguya plotline.

- The will of D only plays with the reincarnation plotline trope, it's not a reincarnation plot line. It's a relay race that Oda is romanticizing through the call and recall of specific character traits and thematics.

- In reality, this comparison is an oversimplification and a reductionnism of One Piece's lore. There are others important lineage and character call out thourough the story. It just happens that here, people picked a reductionnism that align with a comparison of the reincarnation plotline of Naruto.

(I see people saying Blackbeard is an antagonist while Sasuke was a protagonist. It's wrong. Sasuke has always been an antagonist/Impact character)

I’m sorry but Sasuke is a protagonist for 25 % of the series, there’s 700 chapters in Naruto, Sasuke became a villain/antihero in ch 181…….
So he’s a Villain/Anti Hero for 75% of Naruto. 75% of the series Sasuke is an obstacle for the MC.
Is Sasuke not setup for Naruto to beat at some point? Look it’s not one to one, but There are a lot of similarities. Blackbeard was once a good pirate on WB ship but killed his friend to attain power, 2 characters setup to fight each other that are reincarnations of Gods…… Sasuke even gathers a group of characters to help achieve his goal. Tbh the only difference is Blackbeard just has less screen time.

Sasuke is a protagonist for 34% of the series, he’s a Villain/Anti Hero for 66% of Naruto. 66% of the series Sasuke is an obstacle for the MC.

Technically, Sasuke is in between the realm of protagonist and Antagonist. He is what some call an "impact character" for most of the serie.

Before the first timeskip^of Naruto, you could say that he briefly switch from the Impact character status to the antagonist status.

But that's how the comparizong ends with BlackBeard. It's two completely different characters and plotlines

I am pretty tired right now so I am going to use AI

Blackbeard from One Piece is not like Sasuke from Naruto; while both are antagonists with a large following and a desire for power, their motivations and methods are drastically different, with Blackbeard embodying a desire for freedom for himself alone at the expense of others, and Sasuke driven by a complex revenge and later a desire to protect the hidden world from within.

Blackbeard's Motivations and Methods

  • Selfish pursuit of power:
Blackbeard's overarching goal is complete freedom, but it's a freedom to do whatever he pleases, which involves crushing others and taking their power, making him the anti-Luffy.
  • Chaos and destruction:
He is described as selfish, chaotic, and brutal, willing to kill, lie, and steal his way to the top to reshape the world in his image.
  • Antagonistic force:
He is a powerful force of evil, representing the new face of the world's oldest evil, and serves as the endgame villain for the series.
Sasuke's Motivations and Methods
  • Revenge and complex past:
Sasuke's initial drive is complex, stemming from his past trauma and the loss of his clan.

  • Protection from the inside:
He ultimately desires to protect the hidden world and its secrets, even becoming a guardian from the shadows.

  • An anti-hero:
Sasuke's journey is more akin to an anti-hero, as his actions, though sometimes extreme, are rooted in a desire for a different kind of justice, rather than pure malice.
Key Differences
  • Philosophical difference:
Blackbeard represents total freedom for himself at the cost of everyone else, while Sasuke represents a different, more self-sacrificing kind of protection.

  • Moral alignment:
Blackbeard is purely a villain who operates outside moral boundaries, whereas Sasuke has a complex moral compass, making him more of an anti-hero than a villain.

  • Relationship with society:
Blackbeard seeks to dominate and enslave others to his will, whereas Sasuke wants to protect the established order from threats, making him a more central character to the story's narrative

no he never becomes protagonist again……….
And I did some reading Sasuke becoming an antagonist is actually chapter 181 so 75% of the series Sasuke is an antagonist/villain. Yes they fight together in the end war but everybody had to fight together otherwise the world is over. And let’s not act like Blackbeard and Luffy teaming up against IMU is out of the realm of possibility. They will both have beef with IMU for their own reasons. Antagonist can have good qualities to them , look at Katakuri.
