Break Week Is Dark King Rayleigh a Swordsman?

#47
I was waiting for these threads @Albino 👑 lets hear what cope you will cook up
this time don’t hide:ihaha:
You don’t need a sword style to be a swordsman but it does help
The reason Cabaji is one but king isn’t despite neither having one is just because Cabaji considers himself one and king doesn’t

It depends if he had a sword style 100% but without it it’s a lot more in the air

Where does it say they did fight?

He prolly is. I think he considers himself one. Which is the qualification for a swordsman in op.
So Rayleigh isn’t a swordsman until he says “I’m a swordsman”

he can fight exactly the same way that Roger fights but the only difference between him and Roger would be saying “I’m a swordsman” and that alone will completely differentiate him from Roger

so swordsmanship is an identity. Not a fighting style to you @Albino 👑

Which are about 5 people? Like there’s 5 people who have called themselves swordmen in the entire series
Now you're understanding why nobody other than zoro fans take wss or zoro's goal seriously.

Cause oda himself doesn't care.

Even in Wano they call themselves “Samurai”, not swordsmen, and we know Samurai can include Ninja like Raizo and Izo
Yes. And Oda did not bother giving zoro a swordsman opponent in the samurai arc. Even though zoro said he'd have all the samurai working under him.

It's a travesty.

I'd say yes.
Inverse swordsmanship actually follows a certain (honor) code and it's multiple times displayed as a craft, with actual techniques/trained movement patterns.
-> Swordsmanship specific movements and techs =/= general named attacks involving swinging a sword.
For example none of Zoro's named techs are just simple sword swings iirc. There's always some specific movement involved.

And Ray's attack gives off heavy traditional swordsmanship vibes, as it instantly reminds one of Zoro, indepedent of him sending Sommers flying instead of cutting him up.

But in the world itself they random choose to compare Mihawk, a swordsman, to Shanks, a non-swordsman for no reason then?

like why is it important for Brannew to say Mihawk’s swordsmanship surpasses Shanks’ swordsmanship when Shanks doesn’t use swordsmanship sinfe he doesn’t identify as a swordsman

Cause shank used to be a swordsman before the unfortunate accident :josad:

That's literally the only thing that's hype about mohawk. He has no standalone feats or portrayal. It's why he's called the leech.

Brannew was hyping cg up. He used df and brains for croco. Roger pirate connections and stuff for buggy. And shank for mohawk.

How sad is that? :perocry:
