Yes, kaido is based on chinese mythology, but oda is clearly not just copying the shit you listed. And there is absolutely NO differentiation between the scales, so assuming there is a difference between them is wishful thinking at best.

If Kaido is based on Chinese mythology dragon like you agree, then Oda is copying the shit listed right? To a certain degree because the physical make up of Kaido bears huge resemblance to the Chinese dragon and azure dragon.

He has the cow ears, deer horns, eagle's claws, carp scales. When they say clam belly, they mean smooth like a clam with the visual lines, as opposed to the carp scales. When they say camel head they mean more like lumpy like camel. And I already mentioned the eye thing since even Orochi snake df form does not have snake eyes.

Even still, I only brought it up to show what Kaido dragon is based off and how 'distinguished' the carp scales are in it's mythology/folklore, which bears credence for speculation.

That compounded with the fact that Oda:
1. Chose to draw the slash across Kaido's blue larger carp scales, not done before
2. Chose to highlight that someone actually cut through his scales.

Means that speculating that Kaido Carp Scales are the toughest defense on his body, is more than just wishful thinking.

Lol you're getting too hung up (purposely or not) on the clam belly😆 I agree most of his body is scaly but I still think the distinguished scales of a fish, that he has, is the toughest part of his body.

We both agree about Kaido dragon mythology base.

I'm saying in that same mythology, the carp looking scales are the ones that are distinguished.

Killer makes a point about it multiple times, and it's the first time Oda showed the carp scales being cut like this, along with the mythology background, so when you say until Oda differentiate it's irrelevant, I think that's bullshit, that is the whole point of speculation/theory, I don't think it is an open/shut case yet and Oda still has much more to reveal about Kaido DF powers

My guy, I literally said you don't need special kinds of abilities as long as your attacks are strong enough. Even G4 Kong Gun barely managed to overpower her defense. That's the kind of power it'd require to hurt her.

It's fine if you think that, I'm okay with it. But like I mentioned in my previous post, this is a weak point, since when do we need Oda to confirm anything before we can speculate. Were not gonna agree on this, at this point though.
