Yeah, but still, what happened on island is just unforgivable bad. Oda before never relied on outside events to hold my interest. And what really sad, is how this arc decreased my enjoyment of One piece in general, truly realizing how irrelevant Mugiwaras are for the story is just too sad to handle. It's all about NikaBullshit now, you can cut entire crew from this 50 chapters long arc and BARELY anything gonna change. People like to talk about cool thing that are coming, like Zoro vs Mihawk fight, how epic it gonna be, while i wonders if it gonna last for 2 chapters...

I didn't care much for the Doflamingo fight or the Katakuri fight to be honest. They were fine, but they're honestly whatever to me.

I think most of you didn't read One Piece until it showed up in your newsfeeds saying Whoaaa Doflamingo did this or that and then you were like ya that's badass and then you showed up in the One Piece forums trying to live vicariously through powerful villains like Doffy, Katakuri, and Kaido. You don't actually give a shit about much else than those guys and how Admirals can fight.

The author doesn't care about fights as much as you do

Egghead arc is fine. Your expectations are what let you down here.

WCI still clears because Vegapunk really shat the bed, Egghead is a good contender tho

And to be honest after following up wano which was giant L for most people probably on the better end especially with the outside of egghead chapters

The Vegapunk speech was so god damn awful it drags the arc down massively. Add in off paneling all the fights in a shonen battle manga and it definitely isn't the best post time skip arc.

It's not, it's an inprovement over the second half of WCI and Wano, but the Vegapunk speech and the Gorosei fights and the additional Nika bs has reminded us that Oda is still on collision course.

Nope, at least for me, it could even be said I dropped the manga at this point: It started good but then the "escape" started: it is never ending, Vegapunk yapping no stop, stalls and drag of time everywhere, if 1 Nika is not enough why not 2? Old classic fake tension by Oda everywhere too.

Hell no. That title goes to either Dressrosa or Punk Hazard, and that's only because their lows are nowhere near the lows of other arcs. I'm excluding Zou because that arc really depended on Wano to deliver, and it didn't.
