Questions & Mysteries Is Enma a tool to hurt the devils?

#1
enma is said to be able to slice to the depth of hell which is a weird sentence.
So do you think zoro could slice devils in the future?

Zoro, Rayleigh and mihawk , all of them have religious theme which is a lot this only leaves shanks and shilew as future top tier swordsmen that don't seem religious

This will have something to do with future events

Enma is not only the king of hell, in mythology, but also, and more importantly, the judge of all hellish inhabitants.
If Zoro has a serious battle with one or more Gorosei, Enma thematically is bound to provide the finishing blow. If Oda sticks to the meaning behind the sword's name, then the Gorosei's hax regen/immortality must have a counter in haki, and nowhere else.

What's Rayleigh's religious theme? I can understand Zoro with all the buddhist themes in his moveset even if he's an atheist.

I'm unsure how that relates to your previous post, but on that note I'd say those two you mentioned also have religious themes.
- Shanks is a tenryuubito (Celestial/Heavenly Dragon).
- Shiryu was introduced in Impel Down as the equal of Magellan (literally Satan's stand-in). A literal warden of the circles of hell.

That'd leave Roger, Oden, Ryuma, and Rayleigh as top tier swordsmen that don't seem religious.

Rayleigh's title is the king of hell when you see it in Japanese it's the same title zoro wants

Their Japanese titles hold the same meaning

Fair enough, I've always seen it translated as Dark King, which makes perfect sense for him, but apparently it can also mean King of Hell.

Roger's and shanks's only known attacks are divine departure:noo:

Either they have a god complex or they are religious

This leaves us with only ryuma and oden

Maybe many swordsmen with special swords will hunt the demons, zoro can't fight the gorosei alone so we need four additional demon hunters
