General & Others Is Imu going to be the Tobi/Obito of One Piece?

#1
Tobi was introduced in the beginning of Naruto though while Imu was revealed 2 decades later since the beginning of One Piece

So a bit of a difference there but the same concept if Imu's face is revealed to be a familiar one.

Imu being a Nami or Vivi clone or even a blackbeard clone (his will not appearance) would be similar to Obito being revealed as Tobi.

Tobi being the leader of the Akatsuki and wanting world domination, same as Imu the leader of the world government who has basically achieved world domination.

We see Tobi 1st interacting with Kakashi, Minato, Maadara all significant figures in the Naruto world before he became Tobi. Tobi's world was crushed literally when he was almost killed then saved by Zetsu. Then his world was crushed again when the love of his life was stolen from him, Rin.

Imu is similar is this regard having ties to historical people in the One Piece world, not quite as youthful as Tobi though. The reason for Imu's rampage is likely a lost love same as Obito.

and Oda loves Naruto and is good friends with Kishimoto. Im sure Oda has taken lots of inspiration from Naruto though obviously a lot of it is just the Japanese culture they both share.

So will Imu end up like Obito? Becoming good at the end right before their demise. If Oda does it the Naruto way then theres a chance the real final villain won't be Imu or Blackbeard. Imu = Obito, Blackbeard = Maadara. Kaguya = Real Final Villain

So assuming Oda is doing a parallel of Obito, Imu would have to be Joyboy's best friend and Imu blames Joyboy for the death of Imu's lover.

No, Obito is a good man who has been corrupted by hate.
Imu is like Kaguya, thinking people are nothing but insects, there isn't a turning back from this sort of people, except death.

I mean Tobi's face was hidden for the whole series because it was a huge reveal that he was obito, I think it could be the same for Imu

I was wondering why would Imu need a shilloute so badly. The answer is it has to be a familiar looking face. It has to be someone that will completely shock everybody.

If Imu wasn't a familiar face there would be no reason to hide Imu's face, Same with Joyboy. If not a familiar face then a familiar entity like a Klabautermann but I digress.

There are indications that Imu will have a tragic side, something that made him what he is. Something pathetic, perhaps.

It's interesting that if we're going to have a “Kaguya” so far, I could only imagine an impact if the final villain was the Man Marked by Flames or Rocks. It would be ridiculous for another character to appear out of nowhere and fulfill that role.
