Speculations Is it delusional at this point to think Zoro won’t fight King?

I think he will fight King. Never changed my opinion on three certain match ups (Kid vs BM, Sanji vs Queen, Zoro vs King) since the beginning and look where it's going. Same old pattern and I'm pretty sure that's what's going to happen.

Rooftop Kaido was pretty much just an overgrown punching bag, just there for all those guys pulling out some feats until Luffy got his PU. It was like "dodge named attack" -> "spam your own named attack" on repeat, until Kaido decided he's done with playing around.
None of them bar advCoC Luffy fought him in continuous clashes.
And that is imo what's missing even for Zoro. Opponents won't just fly or run into his all out attacks. Especially a guy like King, who's presumably pretty fast and super mobile. If Zoro had difficulties connecting Hiryu Kaen against Dragon form Kaido, King won't just be target practice.
And outside of Asura and those "pseudo advCoC"-Enma attacks, Zoro still has relatively normal stats, whereas Hybrid King, especially while boosted by momentum via flight, will presuambly be a banger in power, like Denjiro on roids with some fire and wings (what imo will defeat Marco, who ran out of phoenix flames, beforehand).

Zoro is going to be untouchable for those guys, when he has learned to control advCoC, so that all of his three swords are ready to be covered in CoC, whenever he blocks, parries or attacks (basically being a top tier swordsman).
For now he only showed the latter, while it's still only generated with the help of Enma's gimmick.

My hopes for the King fight:
He experiments with his Enma haki (= his CoC haki basically) and therefore uses it for blocks and stuff, while we addtionally see a new pound cannon
Your Luffy wank, and your Kaido and Zoro downplay is horrendous.

What is delusional is to think the following:

- Marco getting defeated.
- Marco leaving the fight.
- Marco going to the rooftop to stall Kaido.

That's called shit and dumb writing.
Marco could leave the fight to go help Luffy or Kid/Law. Otherwise Zoro will not face King but will go to Kaido again and then we'll have Zoro and Yamato vs Kaido until Luffy returns to the stage.

Edit
Plus, there's still Perospero around. Maybe he'll do a bad joke on Marco.

How can't you people see that Oda is going to use Zoro and Law as trump cards to back up and help both Luffy and Kid in their fights against Big Mom and Kaido? With the exception of Zoro killing Kaido.

Marco will not fight the Yonko, it doesn't make any sense. He already confirmed that he is not going to fight them and that the new generation will be the one to do it.

1. It is true that Zoro agreed with Luffy going 1v1 against Kaido. But Luffy said he wouldn't lose. And he did. So Zoro has to take Kaido now.

2. Yes, Zoro always fights the second stronger. That is why he will fight Kaido since BM is the strongest opponent at Onigashima.

3. And Luffy was already taken out by Kaido. So Zoro is the only one who can beat him.

4.Marco makes clear that new gen will shine. And Marco is a swordsman. Just like Zoro. Zoro will shine by beating Kaido.

I think the second strongest opponent for Zoro notion likely merely constitutes a myth. It doesn't necessarily have to be the case all the time.

Luffy himself is fighting Kaido and will likely not take on Big Mom during this arc. Zoro did.

Now let's see if Zoro truly tackles King and defeats him while he doesn't help defeating Zoro, otherwise I will be proven correct.

Luffy isn't dead

Someone just needs to heal him and fly him up to onigashima, I wonder who could do that...

I bet eating food will shapen him up a lot.
probably

but Luffy still needs someone to fly him to the top, and food still won't fully heal him

anyways, even if zoro fights king, that doesn't mean he can't also kill kaido

so I don't know why some zoro fans are so defensive about him fighting king. If it happens, I guarantee Zoro will stomp.

Yeah of course if Zoro v King happens and Goda stays even partially coherent with the general power scales he portrayed so far, King would get in all likelihood dusted. Another reason why I don't want that fight. Double pain for Zoro is probably less of a deal than a post Marco fight King mess up in addition, it would look even more spitey. So I would be mad at Oda if he instead used PIS for that match up and relied on his usual tricks in order to substantiate a fight that should have been one sided. Unless a one shot or so occurs, that's unlikely and I would like that.
