Hybrid form is either way stronger than base, be it a punch, a swing, a kick or whatever. See Lucci and every other zoan in the Enies lobby arc or even the calamities and flying 6 in this arc. Hybrid is always the strongest form (or at the very least it is stronger than base form). Also if we want to nitpick the thunder bagua he gave to G5 Luffy was in baae, with one hand and there was also no visible haki vs a fresh G4 Luffy while Ragnarok is in hybrid form, both hands smashing down (also enraged this time) and so much haki it is leaking fron the weapon and it hits fully a wounded base Luffy lying on the floor. So, to conclude, Luffy gets huge plot power to do what he dies but I agree with you that it is almost the same for Zoro (a little less maybe since he is not the MC). Taking the hakuma, a thunder bagua and still be kicking means he would shit even on every version of Luffy before 1010, and this doesn't make sense. Oda is simply manipulating things to produce climax with no regard for power levels.

Do you do it alone? Do you receive help? The "willpower = endurance" comes since the beginning of the story. Baratie's fight against Don Krieg was entirely based on this concept. So, again, doesn't bother me much. - Crazy luck
- This is garbage. Luffy assembles a crew that will help him become Pirate King. The "luck" element should actually be the "crew" helping him. Receiving help from other side characters is fine, but the whole reason the crew exist, is to help Luffy achieve his dream, while pursuing their own. The fact that Luffy's luck carries him, makes the crew look more and more disposable. And creating one or other singular plot point to highlight one specific crewmember after hundreds of chapters of doing nothing, doesn't cut it. Only reason Robin is relevant, is due to the poneblyphs, but, somehow, since freaking Ennies Lobby she isn't mentioned until freaking Zou. Nami? Is KINDA hard to think Nami is that relevant, when the characters can perform DBZ feats and basically go against nature themselves. Jinbei basically gives free movement to the ship, The Coup de Burst can make them escape from dangers, etc. Dude in FI says that an "excellent navigator can use the log pose to determine the best route". Immediately after that, we have Luffy saying that he wants to go to the most dangerous place, regardless of what Nami tells him. So why bother with her in the first place if you don't want to follow her instructions? Make a map? You mean to tell me Nami is the only cartographer in the world? LMAO. Sanji was important as a cook, but also as part of the Monster Trio, to take part of the enemy forces enough to make room for Luffy and Zoro take down the most dangerous enemies. Now? LMAO. A "cook" is not as important as a nutritionist. They can survive with eggs and pickles. Jinbei can easily provide some normal fishes, etc.

It was fun when it happened in Allabasta in the first time...the second it already made crocodille look like those carttonish villains that create "impossible to escape" contraptions but leave the protagonist there, alone, to escape while he goes drink tea or something.
Now its happening in every arc, last one was Katakuri, but it was to drik tea while eating donnuts.
Oda just dosent know how to create tension withoud making Luffy get his ass handed, even dragon ball has vegeta to serve as a punch bag to hype Goku's opponents, in One piece Luffy serves as a punching bag to hype up his own opponents.
