Speculations Is Monkey D Dragon a swordsman?

All Monkey family have the same style imo. Look at Luffy and Garb’s same aggressive hand combat fight style. I can imagine the same for Kong as his name implies (likely gorilla DF based on Donkey Kong).

But that’s only those not named Imu who could can near him if they can resist his wind DF + awakened and AdCoC higher than Joyboy (extra wind effect).

Monkey D. Dragon is an anomaly, weaker than Kaidou but much stronger than most. He may inherit Garp's physical power, strong Haki, and still have a broken Devil Fruit. His fighting style suggests advanced Haki, like the Dragon Claw, so we could see Dragon utilizing two types of advanced Haki: Acoc and Ryou, or Acoc and FS (to complement his possible Wind Logia) along with a Devil Fruit.

Alternatively, he could be a Shanks 2.0, but with the distinction that Dragon encompasses a close-quarters combat (CQC) style like Garp, using his Dragon Claw technique. In contrast, Shanks is a swordsman while Dragon is a Devil Fruit user.

No, at best he will use wind blades and that is the closest he will get. Nika is a brawler, Garp is a brawler as well so I expect him to fight to some extent with his hands as well, maybe moves like those dragon talons Sabo used (so at least he will use the fingers to form claws, blades, etc.) just to make him at least slightly different from Nika and Garp. Or simply use different hand "forms" to create different type of wind attacks (if he actually has a wind fruit).

It is not written in stone that every group must have a swordsman plus there are also some "blade users" who can resemble a swordsman like Ivankov aide (Inazuma?) or Morley. Also I'm not sure you should really want Dragon in the swordsman ranks, it is difficult but it could also backfire.
